Having read this story I started to think the ML wasn't that bad , and as the chapters kept increasing inqas proven right.
One chapter truly did it for me, one of those flashbacks, where his illusion got shattered.
The guy grew up seeings friend and camaraderie killed, by him or others. Being in war, having past trauma, constantly suffering, being subject torture and whatnot and you guys expect someone like that to have a clear definition of white and black.
All of his suffering was from a clear definite person and that person daughter happens to be the subject of his love.
An innocent child who was living her life in the clouds, living in a bubble , never actively trying to understand her surrouding even with all the rebellion that was happening.

There is ajaonese BL adaptation and its beautiful. They howver skipped chapter 6 and the end of chapter 5.

I really liked the story, could have been better if it was well written and if I could differentiate between who is who.
Would have live a spin off for the demon and Ah Ziyu.
Personally I cried a little bit but lol the main protagonist for me were not that interesting.
