Idk about that...In here, unless you pretty new about manga and anime, 'Trap' don't really offend most people.

look, i've been around for a pretty long time, i know a lot of anime dude bros like to say that kind of slurs and nobody complains because its already normalized, but the fact that its “anime culture” doesn't justify or get rid of the fact that its offensive and it still means pretty much the same thing as the slur we see used on trans women.You are trying to put into the category of trap to downplay the effects of the word and the evidence of the harm of using the term that is recognized as a slur has on the transgender community
therefore, by generally using “trap” the terms often wind up having the same use, and often wind up with the same results. The problem is that by trying to erase the meaning of the word, and by trying to ignore that the people most often using the word ARE using it as a slur and only going to the “but it’s Japanese anime culture” defense when called out. So, i repeat its a transphobic slur used in this or any “manga and anime” context, whether someone gets offended or not, or calls out to people who use it, its not up for you to decide if its not that serious.

I just searched up the definition for a anime trap, A trap is when you see a character who you (most often a guy) find very attractive (as a woman) and then later find out that said character is actually a guy. Then your feelings become all confused because you, as a typically straight guy, just found another guy attractive. That is why it is called a 'trap, so in no way is it a offense slur in the meaning almost all people use it in lol

I mean a lot of people use words in different meaning so you can't really complain to one person who probably didn't even use it in whatever meaning you dislike

I mean I don't think we can really put some slurs above others anyway like the word nigger or other offensive words over other words like fuck you or asshole, I mean it's just words and all words can be taken in a lot of different maners like me and my friends swearing at each other doesn't have to be taken in a negative way, it's all up to who uses that word and in what context, so you can't really complain if somebody uses the word trap and the first definition for anime trap has nothing to do with being rude to the trans community, and again me and everyone i have spoken to have never heard of trap being used as a slang against trans people so I think that 1, your overreacting a small bit bc most people at least on my part haven't even heard of what you said 2, it's a word and all words can be used for different things and reasons all the time and we can't really complain if a word chould be taken in a negative meaning when a lot of words can do that so its rather the people that are bad, 3, i forgot woops
