The big confession of "I'll burn the word for you" is condensed in a single panel bc the rest of the chapter was just close ups of the rape... Cheap. It just felt so incredibly cheap

Many people see the initial non-con (especially when it's a fucked-up demonic being like Mugo) as something hard to stomach, and when the story finally gets into less rapey, more human territory, there's a sense of relief. That relief is broken apart by this scene. MC being in danger could've been portrayed in so many other ways rather than visually explicit rape. Authors always seem to find excuses to add more and more vivid rape scenes in their work, and some of us wish we could call them out on it so they could start considering literally any other trope alternative.
