I don't like hate comments either, but if people are criticizing the main couple's chemistry, it's totally valid. I totally agree that at the moment it's not possible to root for them

Yes I agree, but most people don’t criticise in a normal way and I think it’s dumb to flood the comments with plain hate which makes it almost impossible to read normal comments and to talk with people who actually like the story. If someone genuinely don’t like both characters I don’t get why they’re still reading, the main characters won’t change they’ll be here till the end, obviously.

no, no, If you are reading boys love, you expect the author to do the redemption arc, many are reading expecting this. It's a question of whether the narrative will improve, but for now, It's being disappointing

Yeah but we all know there will be a redemption arc, it’s not like the author didn’t say anything about it. We’re literally 1/5 into season 2, there will be enough time for that arc. It would be simply unrealistic and out of character if jk would do a 180 overnight. We still don’t know anything about his past and it’s pretty obvious that he never had feelings for anyone and that he ever had someone who’s close to him. It’s a normal trope that a character like him takes a long time to understand his feelings and to change his behaviour. And still, a lot of people simply hate reading this story which is my main problem, these comments were already there after the first few chapters. A lot of people in the comments also say (like OP) that they don’t care for the redemption arc/ that they don’t want to see them together whatever so I guess they’re not here because of said redemption arc but to be pissy in the comments

I think we can just disagree normally on the issue of jaekyung's character arc, I really don't think it's good. with the amount of time that jinx has been published, mingwa continuing to write jk without giving the public anything to like him, is really bad writing. he is an aggressive, stupid, selfish and privileged man (a combo that is already TOO unlikable for most people). even with his past, there is no way to justify his actions in the present.

now about the hate comments, I just don't like it when people insult the readers, insult the author, but saying that the story is poorly written is alright. people won't say it nicely like I did because this is the internet, but you can understand the meaning behind it. it's not hate, it's an opinion if it is built on a solid foundation.

OP is saying that it got to such a bad point in the narrative that not even a chasing arc would make them like jk. mingwa tried to put an interaction between the characters, to show the reader a romantic moment, but it didn't work, because considering the context it only makes jk's image even worse.

Ofcs we can normally disagree about that. And it’s not like I like JK, i just don’t see a big problem with him as a character or how slow the story is progressing. Besides I’ve read far worse stuff where redemption actually wouldn’t make anything better because they did unspeakable things. This story (or more like jk) is like kindergarten in comparison

And again, I don’t think criticising a story is bad. Idk how many comments and discussions you’ve read about Jinx but I’m pretty sure to say that what I call hate comments are HATE comments and not plain complaining. They literally blocked posting about Jinx in several Subreddits because the hate got completely out of hand.
What irks me the most is that a lot of people who write these comments read super red flag/black flag stories (which can be seen on here or on Reddit if they talk about this stuff while talking about how they want to kill jk and that they hate him etctetc.
The hate literally started as an TT trend and is ongoing since then.

And all the things I said wasn’t about OP at all but Jinx comments in general.
You can have your opinion, OP can have theirs and I can have my own. You say it makes him look worse and I def don’t think so. That’s all there it is.
