In jigu's pov, yeowoon has been flirting with him For A While (yes, he was overly misinterpreting the offer to come over & being nice, but bro hasn't had a friend irl Ever, so yk). And as far as he's concerned, yeowoon is also in a sm relationship with the friend. He hears over the phone someone call him "boss" and immediately jumps to the conclusion of it being one of his "playmates". Obviously, he wouldn't think bro got a promo that quickly (yeowoon has mentioned the oddness of the company promoting ways).
Yeowoon then asks him to come over to play (or smthn along the lines) and jigu stuck to his already established theory and thought the worst. When you start assuming smthn and become more & more confident in a theory, you tend to ignore even the most obvious things and focus on what supports it instead, so that's understandable tbh.
Jigu prolly panicked bc of the kind of offer (he thought) it was, and bc he'd refused before but yeowoon was still insisting on it and trying to "lure" him in.

The ring design was lowkey genius. Like, not as obvious as a tattoo but still leaves a difficult-to-erase imprint on your body without actually hurting yourself.
