The victim blaming is so strong in this one... How come Ruth/Luce suffering under the Ail's hand is his own fault?
Okay, Ail did ask him what he wants during his confinement but I'm pretty sure Ruth/Luce has said multiple times what he want, Ail just don't want to grant it because he's selfish. Like despite Ruth/Luce not telling his feelings doesn't grant him all the abuse and rape he got from Ail.... And these all came from his supposed friend(Kasha).
And it seems the novel is going to blame Ruth instead of Ail why their relationship has gone like this.
I don't mind dark stories as long as its acknowledged that it's terrible and toxic.... It came off as strong but I can't accept Ruth getting the blame even though it's valid that he'd rather suppress his feelings and decide to move on... I even think that it's also a good response to his end. He just doesn't want to witness it.
