DL means âdown lowâ. it refers to closeted men who present themselves as âstraightâ while pursuing homosexual relationships on the âdown lowâ. aka sneakily, because these men are typically husbands or boyfriends. now, the ML doesnât have a significant other but he is presenting a lot of the same troubling behavior. itâs important for me to point out that DL men, more often than not, have no intention in coming out the closet. whether it be because of their internalized homophobia, fear, or sheer negligence these men have no intentions in being in healthy queer relationships or not cheating on their current partners. they want both and thatâs what makes them so toxic because theyâre abusive on both ends.

the first chapter is comedy gold and i will never finish the rest. with that in mind, that girl betraying him made me laugh uncontrollably and iâm embarrassed to admit that i almost peed my pants with laughter when i saw the goldfish. their faces are too dumb to take seriously so i definitely wouldâve died in this manga first. 10/10 recommend this oneshot to everyone
i just wanna first give credit where credit is definitely due: and thatâs in the incredibly beautiful artstyle. Everything else though was shit. and the worst part is that it actually has potential. i think the themes portrayed are really powerful and can make a really compelling message. unfortunately, this manga wants to pretend itâs revealing these greater truths and dark themes without taking the actual time to deconstruct and deliver them in a respectful manner. fuck the fmc and her predatory relationship with her student, fuck the rapist guy who were supposed to feel sad for ig because oh no his mom was a domestic abuse victim (iâm not invalidating the suffering and misery his mom and even he experienced. i just fucking hate the way itâs handled), fuck that girl who was taking pictures of them like a creep and constantly contradicting her, fuck her rapist pseudo bf(?), and honestly fuck the author for making me go through this shit. This shit is honestly more harmful because itâs so unclear on its moral stance and especially because of its deplorable abusive relationships and dynamics that it never properly handles. this feels like one of those european artsy films that pretend like they have some greater message when in reality theyâre just rape fantasies wrapped in pretty cinematography and visual language. i hate this manga so much that midway through my anger was directed at not the characters and horrible storylines but the author themselves. whoever the fuck created this i need you to sleep with one eye open
Yk i think the FL never had any intention on marrying in the first place. She probably kept asking her ex that because she mistakenly thought that it would mend their relationship. And after this last chapter, itâs obvious that she realizes that it never wouldâve worked out like that anyway. So now she no longer feels obligated to marry anyone so much so that shes avoiding the whole thing all together (which isnât a bad thing on its own). The problem is that the ML obviously treasures marriage and thatâs creating a wedge between their relationship. Not only that, heâs clearly insecure and just a really jealous person over all. (that shit that he pulled with the subordinate still pisses me off) Regardless, i think theyâre just different people and clearly not ready for another relationship especially after coming out the toxic ones they just had. This is sadly just a classic case of people who havenât healed from their previous relationships rushing into another one unfortunately.

Many people (especially in Korea) date with marriage in mind and since he married before, it would seem to me like it is obvious he would want to marry again. She was clearly less serious and got hurt because he was hurting. Clearly it's her fault. In real life tho, you should discuss this in the beginning of the relationship.

Lmao you might be right, it's like the FL and ML suddenly change personalities and become unstable. It's like that with every character here. I feel like they could just suddenly change their mind randomly on serious matter without thinking or consulting their partner. I swear to got every character (even if I like them) has so many red flags because of their unpredictable behavior, random selfishness and their inability to communicate like grown ass adult.
