Extreme alphas are one level higher than dominant alphas. Like the boss of all dominant alphas. If you've read December, you'd know. The ml there is an awakened alpha, so that makes him more powerful than other dominant alphas
Oh, okay! That makes sense! I’ve not gotten around to December yet, so I didn’t realize there was more to it. It kinda seems like extra steps to make characters more special or mary-sue-like. “That guy over there may be a dominant alpha, but my guy is an awakened alpha!” Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues w it; it’s just interesting to see this sub-genre evolve ¯_(ᵕ—ᴗ—)_/¯
