Maha's Manga

A decent read. I myself won’t be finishing it but it wasn’t bad. The story line is interesting and has many plot points going on in both the background and main stage. However this can also hinder the growth of a comic as I myself find the growing number of plot points to be a little bit too drawn out for my tastes and it also lessens the impact of the original plot line. I honestly can’t say I remember what the goal was on the FL for sure but I can take a few guesses. Also because of just how dynamic this story is, it almost feels as if the characters are very surface level and don’t have too much going for them. I enjoyed the elements of reincarnation and the background of the ML, but other than the FL &ML, I find the characters personalities to be rather lacking. The art itself isn’t to great, which is a bummer because had it been better I believe I would’ve been able to continue reading this but not the worst I’ve seen as well. As I stated in the beginning not a bad reas, just not something I can see myself continuing to read any longer.

It took me four times to completely read this, each attempt with a large time frame in between. I don’t know why that is, but I will say that I was able to reread about 60ish chapters over four times without finding myself tired of this story. I do find that the emperor’s obsession with the FL was a little concerning in parts, but with his history I can see where it stems from and he also seems to outgrow it. I also very much enjoy the chapters that came after the empress dowager, it gave way to showing that court life is always filled with enemies. Overall a good read, though some may find it similar to other isekai stories with one of the main themes being court life. A pro tip for this one is to also break up the chapters because there are so many, even when you are used to binge reading everything straight. This will help readers to not drop it midway!

This manga is very enjoyable but also very lackluster at the same time. It was a good read when I was first starting out, but now that I've navigated the waters of manga & webtoons for a bit, I've come to notice the many shortcomings this piece has. The ending was also underwhelming as a whole.
