i know people hate the beginning and i can see why but i love how toxic it is and how them loving each other isnt sudden or forced.
my favourite chapter is 48-49 because of how unromantic it is between them ("i like
imagining it sometimes, a nice person who likes me") and in chapter 49 it shows how euinhyun loves euiyoung and how much he would destroy himself. i also like how he uses the word "attached" - they dont use the word "love" because its not love. he cant help but look for this bastard motherfcuker because hes given him everything even though he could also take it all away.
though, my favourite quote is actually "i want you to live because you believe living isnt so bad" because it personally hits home for me.
i really love unromantic romances with a toxic relationship, even better when they end up never falling in love because thats how it should be. i love it when a character fucks their situation so much they have no idea what to do because they realised it all too late, but ltit made them fall in love in an understanding way. i never routed for them to be together until after the arc where euihyun gives euiyoung away to his dad because i believe thats when taeju understands euihyun the most and is able to give him what he wants from then on (i mean when he lets euihyun stay at his place and also not letting euihyun give euiyoung away - he knew what he needed, even if it wasnt on purpose with the cohabiting thing)

I wonder when they're going to go through hodakas backstory? seems like hiyori isn't the first human he's experienced since that's how he recognised hiyori in the first place. other demons who have smelt him never associated his smell with "human", but rather just simply sweet. hodaka also knows that the candy in the first volume tastes a little like human (or its replicating what humans taste like) the story also begins with hodaka saying that hiyori smells like [something] (like human?). I'm waiting patiently until we get hokadas story!!!!!!!!!
