I think she refers to herself as a human since is most likely half human and doesn't feel very demon-ish. Her mother was a holy knight, guarded by angels, so she was most likely a human.

i still reading the manga.. but it doesn't seem like yona will reclaim the throne, nor talks about her future goals... i just wanna know so i dont feel discouraged.. i'd really like it if she avenges her father, so would anyone tell me?
Actually thats one tiny bit problem with this manga- it always leaves us hanging, and you have to wait plenty of time till the next time the plot continues.. so this has always been a very slow ride but, i also like how its not all predictable unlike some stories.. in short, anything can still actually happen even at this point and if you dont want to read until its done and assures you a good ending to hope for, thatd be a long way to go. But at this moment, i havent been disappointed with this one at all and stuck to it for years.. my reason for clinging is hak and yona and the four dragons~
this manhwa always leaves every end of the chapter with a cliffhanger
