Maybe I missed a few details but can someone explain to meâŠ
What is his spore? Is it legitimately a little mushroom or is it a kid?

That's actually a good question! You didn't miss anything, even in the novel An Zhe never specified what his spore is. 3/4 of the novel he just said its his spore and he needs it back. It's something that is supposed to reside in his body until it matures and thats all he knows. He feels he needs it and cant feel whole without it. But much later in the novel when he's asked: what your spore means to you? Is it your child or something?
He admits he's sure its not his child but in human sense It kind of may be, but he says: my spore... is just my spore. An Zhe cant really be specific what his spore is, because its neither a child or another mushroom
He knows 100% its a part of him but thats all. As for what the spore really is you will find out in the future! Ù©(àčâáŽâàč)Û¶ I don't want to spoil anything, but I understand the curiosity about the spore since not much is mentioned about it

Endured the pain at the beginning to get to the cute relationship.. little did I know they would stab us with horrible flashbacks and SA every other chapterâŠ. Wtf is this hot and cold

Idk why I totally missed that part at the end
What confuses me is MLâs reaction to seeing them kissing? Itâs one thing that sheâs just using him, but ML gets weirded out and calls it basically harassment.. so I figured some other factor was in the works like him being underage
Also when the whole âif I resist what changesâ conversation happened, it makes me think that he didnât really want to (allegedly) have sex w her and felt like he was forced to bc he wants her to feel better (which is SA in my book)

Jegra is not reading it right. That's just the Empress's understanding, which is not correct. It was going around that Genas and Enoch's mother were lovers, that's definitely why the empress thinks she was Genas's first love. Him treating Enoch how he does reinforces her misunderstanding. In reality we know that he did not love her, Enoch asked Genas directly and he said no. He said he went along with it because there's no point in resisting since nothing will change. This is because she is mentally ill and drunk all the time, there is no "sober Leticia". She will just keep coming. And she just kept getting worse till she couldn't even tell Genas and his father apart anymore. We know he felt sorry for her and for Enoch and that she asked him to watch over Enoch. That is the real bond between them, it's not what the empress thinks. Genas and Enoch both bonded over their mistreatment from her. Genas saw Enoch wanted his mother and tried to bring her to him and Enoch found out that Genas was being sexually abused by his mother.
This is why I think there may eventually be a "redemption" for the empress when she learns the truth. It may help her stop being psychotic. But we'll see. Either way, she's done unforgivable things to Genas, but I'm thinking maybe he knows she is obsessed with him and understands why she acts the way she does. We'll see.

Iâm so glad they changed it a bit so many scenes from the novel made me uneasy and I really disliked Karas by the end
Iâm also relieved itâs Shounen ai⊠probably for the best

It wasnât anything specifically but the novel in my opinion was very war-centered and they really emphasized how Karas had no care for human life. Some of the scenes like the scene we just saw on the top of the boat were more prolonged, violent, and he just kept killing innocent people. In the spicier scenes he didnât really care if Abel wanted it or if he was in pain. He was really rough and possessive with him (in the not-hot way ). He wouldnât hesitate to take advantage of him either. And there was basically no comedic relief like there is in the manhwa with the facial expressions.
But Iâm sure some other people see it in a different perspective⊠I personally was just uncomfortable with their relationship and nothing about Karas was positive or even neutral. I felt bad for Abel.
