I wonder if the dad knew the mom was a drug addict. I don't remember if it said that in the previous ch. If he know then all of it changes. And still even if he just wanted to wait for permission i doubt he didn't know what a hard life his own son has. He's the kid parent just as his mother.(that bitch) They both are responsible for the life they created. The rest is just excuses.

No, I don't think he knew. He saved a child he doesn't know from drug dealers, how would he let his own child??! Plus, I am sure there is something that we will know in the coming chapters that explain why was the mother was angry with him and why he couldn't just meet them, also the mother looked just fine at the previous chapter Maby that's why he didn't think they would be financially unstable since they had enough money ( if that bitch didn't start going for the drugs). And just because the mother was raising the kid doesn't excuse the father again. Is his job to know how the kid is doing. And just how someone mentioned above he had the resources to do so. I'll wait and see before I'll say who's fault is it. Maybe there is more to the story then we know. I do hope the father has a good excuse for not doing more for his kid.
