Wow..at last, a good one scene. My heart was crumpled in Behind the scene. At least this one is refreshing.

Why is everything so f***ing hurtful.

redFlower April 6, 2020 3:12 pm

How could they say that master is like sangwoo. I so totally disagree!right?
╥﹏╥

    Hanyuu April 6, 2020 5:59 pm

I agree. Seungho isn't going around killing and raping people who look like his mother. Something is wrong with the people who say he is like Sangwoo.

    Thank you.

Not entirely like sangwoo. Tho his manipulativeness and extreme mood swings specially when he's angry is just like sangwoo. He beat up his servants when the painter ran away right? In the 1st chapter he even killed the servant even though he's aware that the painter is lying. Even the way he raped the painter is like when sangwoo raped bum. So yeah. They have a lot in common. Maybe not as crazy as sangwoo. But he seems to be getting there ¯_(ツ)_/¯

He seems to be getting there? I agree that he has mood swings etc but it doesn't seem like Seungho's into torturing and raping people. And it definitely doesn't seem like he's getting there. Seungho is possesive and manipulative but to me it seems like he's gonna get a redemption arc.

I hope so. I'm just explaining why people think he's like sangwoo. Everyone has different opinions so yeah. Maybe for you he's not like that but that's what others see him as. And Yes he didn't torture people around him physically to the verge of death but the way he manipulates everyone is also considered as mental torture. Although in his case it doesn't look so bad coz it's based in the past were it's fine to beat the shit out of you slaves but if you put what he did in a more preset era, beating his slave can also be considered as torture.

Im sorry, but Killing Stalking is the worst manga ever. Sangwoo is fucking psycho and Bom too. Whaf Bom did with Sangwoo's ashes was kind of necrophilia. Sangwoo was fucked by his own mother. During sex with Bom he called him "mother". He brought the uncle to Bom's house, just to see how is he rapping him and he killed him after that.
Seungho has mood swings, he did wrong, but please... PLEASE!
DON'T EVER COMPARE HIM TO THIS MOTHETFUCKER SANGWOO.
Seungho is very intelligent, he starts to regret what he done to NK, he got much softrer, he cares about NK... I could've write an essay about him, but haters gonna hate ( ̄へ ̄)

Can we at least agree that perhaps the systematic kidnapping, torture, rape and murder of a multitude of people should be different enough to exclude Seungho from comparison to Sangwoo?

I mean, it is a huge difference.

And manipulative characters are in nearly every genre. Seungho seems to be manipulating one person here and that's Nakyum. These are very different characters with very little in common: Sangwoo is severely abused and damaged beyond repair in a brutal environment that help create the predatory monster who kills lots of people following a ritual in Killing Stalking, while Seungho is a pampered nobleman and future head of his family, who suffers a setback that appears to traumatize him enough to give him mood swings and make him unstable. Something that appears to be stabilizing due to Nakyum's presence. Sangwoo never had a chance and he pushed Bom over the edge he was tottering in.

I hope this doesn't come off an attack on you because it isn't. You expressed very clearly and kindly what your thought process was for the comparison.

But in this comparison, degrees matter. A beating of his servants is repulsive, reprehensible and wrong but also what is allowed at the period the story takes place. It doesn't matter how we judge it now because how we feel about it will not change the fact that this happened at the time and was A-ok in their standards. If Seungho has some servants he is mutilating in the basement then that's a different story.

His murder of the servant is callous and cruel but so reminiscent of his class that trampled on the people they considered beneath them. But there is nothing ritualistic nor predatory in this event.

Let us say Seungho kills his family's enemies (not known at this time - may have been his father) and it was rumored to be quite a few people that were killed. That still doesn't put him anywhere near Sangwoo who kills for pleasure and to fulfill what ever black void lives inside him. Even if Seungho carried does murders out, it was in defense of his family. A very rational decision from a feudal lord that would have faced the end of his own line if his enemies are kept alive.

People didn't talk it out back then. Rumors and falling out of favor got you ruined or killed. People were constantly trying to outwit and knock out others from their position and from favor with the nobility. Manipulation here was a sport that could became bloody and deadly if you didn't play it well.

His manipulation and rape of Nakyum is exclusive to Nakyum, the would-be-toy he eventually becomes attached to. Maybe THAT can be compared to the relationship of Bom and Sangwoo but even then, it fails. B + S have a very sick, dependent relationship that requires (for Sangwoo) the constant abuse of Bom and in which Sangwoo never loses power in or control of.

Seungho is letting go of his control to Nakyum now.

Seungho took Nakyum because he wanted him, but he tried to mask it as a joke on Nakyum and then liked their first experience so much, he loses his pride and violates Nakyum trying to relive it, fails, loses hope and goes: "What the Hell? He hates me now so I'll just keep playing the villain."

I don't look at Seungho's murder of the servant, the beatings of his household and the rape of Nakyum as excusable. But I have to put myself in the place where the story is taking place. That's important. That's essential.

K/S is just straight out horror.

Honestly, this is more like Ai no Kusabi, which is more about sexual obsession with S+M undertones minus the tragic ending which helped them understand they loved each other all along.
