I find this story very shit. The redhead is a pushover who can’t make a solid opinion on Nocton who obviously seems like the villain in every perspective (even in hers). Nocton is just a villain, he’s not even a redeemable one and the fact that he’s endgame (this is an assumption) is infuriating. He’s literally just an obsessive stalkerish bitch. Alice is chill, there’s not much about her to say other than I have no idea what the fuck is going on with her backstory. Aaron is just a guy who can’t confess his feelings and I can’t see a good reason why he can’t. The story is a mess, a jumble of whatever. I have no idea what’s going on and what I do know is that Nocton is the bad guy and he needs to fuck off. It’s very plain and there’s no solid direction, even if there is it’s a circle cause they’re going in fucking circles. Communication between all the characters are also super dead.
Okay, I’m staying to see the ending but this makes me feel so fucking iffy. Like, the trauma he has is portrayed in a much more realistic way than most, how he feels in that room and those hands reaching out for him just shows it well and I understand that. Then we have blondie who’s suppose to help him, doing it in such a shit way that it’s literally just him lowkey fueling the trauma. How he isn’t respecting him, how he pushes for sex or sexual things lowkey feel abusive in a way, maybe manipulative is the word but it’s just off. I know that this type of stuff is disappointingly normal in this genre but this is different. How he truly is facing the difficulties, how they’re shown, how try aren’t brushed off as another, “uwu dom daddy just loves me and this proves it” but rather how in their world it’s truly something that they’re facing. I don’t know if I’m making any sense but yeah. I hope he ditches the blondie, gets a therapist, finds a lover who actually supports him and truly helps him.
