I took child development in hs for 11th. For extra credit we had to wear a full pregnancy suit (yes even the males) it was a full suit that even had weights that pressed against your bladder. You had to come to school early and wear it for the full school day to get the entirety of the extra credit. Equipped with an elevator pass because the school was 3 stories high , it was a miserable day. My hs had around 3,000 students and was an off campus so most weren't even aware of the class. I LOOKED RIDICULOUS. By the time lunch rolled around I called my mom just to cry. The shear amount of hate i received was enough to break me. The random onlookers and side talkers made me want to vomit. it's incredibly vile just how insanely awful people can be to each other AND IT WAS EVEN FAKE LIKE?? This story , particularly this chapter resonates with me. Because after the day of the fake suit, came the fake baby. Which was designed with state of the art monitoring systems and cameras with in time data responses. It forced you to look at teen pregnancy in a new light. Especially those who brought their kids to school . For me in particular it was incredible birth control lol
