It’s so well rounded. The art is beautiful, the story is well written, the pacing feels natural, the characters are developed, and it is structured beautifully. The story with the story is even developed, though we see so little of it. It’s so good that I’m rereading it right away!

I think that there is use for it. It’s pretty clear that the seme isn’t into the sex as more than an act to relieve himself and exact revenge. He is using sex as a tool. I think that when the seme and uke finally have sex, there will be a stark contrast where he isn’t using sex, but rather having sex where he is concerned for his partner, rather than his plots or ploys. The straight sex scene sets up his character and the possible change in his character. It is a rather succinct way of communicating the possible changes and setting up the drama and cognitive dissonance he will inevitably feel when his revenge takes a back seat for perhaps the first time in his life. Just my two cents, though.
I have a feeling that this is going to be lovely, beautiful, funny, and inevitably sad at the end. The feels will be strong, but so worth the reading. If done well, it will be a masterpiece.
Apologize for disappearing, give him head, then ride him while signing how good it feels. Then, let him take control, and let him bite and kiss the marks that the stupid bastard made, so that he can overwrite them. Simple and smexy.

Overall, though: The steamy scenes are tender and super hot. There is sufficient conflict without being overly dramatic. It has a good balance of “flavors” if you will. I love it.
