I'm not western, all I know whenever there's a beef with parents and teachers best believe no ones gonna take that serious. Threatened them with even more lawyers, all the richest ones. It's the school who's gonna make the teachers and parents apologize to each other. That's all.
i believe than in korea schools care a lot about reputation and parents with connections to the school board may treat teachers like that for lowering their kid's grades. i also saw a video recently of a korean creator who was a teacher before moving countries and she said that parents really do treat younger teachers badly sometimes because the academic competition is crazy and they don't want any chances of their kid having bad grades
