i was an absolute hater of the main story so i didn't expect i'd eat up the backstory so hard. like why is it actually so much better? their highschool story is more interesting i rlly didn't enjoy seoin's present personality tho ik he has reasons but i prefer this younger self of him it has layers and we can see all of his inner turmoil. when i was reading the main story it felt like i was crawling in the dark and didn't know what to feel for the characters, even hated yeongwoo for being stupid for seoin. when we return to the present, i'll definitely be able to see their characters in a new light and hopefully seoin eventually returns to his true self and stop being a jerk
