give it a few more chapters, pretty sure there will be some outlier channels who will cancel it afterwards. Think about how flamed the boyfriend series got when every body was jumping the bandwagon of hate, now it's slowly redeemed itself from being problematic to just being "cringefest" (unrelated to the artist btw). If it get positive reception it'll get bad ones later on cause the story is going the dog shit route. Just like how that despicable Aoi anime got good reception at first and is now getting its well deserved hate.

You’re forgetting in what time period this is taking place. Let’s be for real here in that time people had to be manipulative to survive and that is what she is doing. She wasn’t like that in her first life, was blinded by love and that’s the reason she got killed so now she she somewhat changed.

Out of all the reasons you could dislike Ariadne for, you chose the things that actually make sense for her to do

She killed the prince in her previous life because she was blinded by love given to her after being mistreated all her life even when she was brought to the de Mare family household as an illegitimate daughter. She was abused by everyone including her "husband" and discarded like a rag. She was betrayed by everyone, and she does recognize that killing Alfonso for Cesare's sake was the one sin she can never forgive herself for. That's literally the whole reason why she was nice to Alfonso to begin with before she actually fell in love with him, and even when she fell for him she was plagued by guilt.

Now to the "manipulation" you say makes her undeserving of rebirth is nothing but actual survival instincts. It's not like she's harming good people for personal gain, she's making sure the people who hurt her before cannot hurt her again. She's even kind enough to give others a chance even though they've hurt her before, like her dead youngest sibling and Caesar even when she gave him military advice. She's still helping out the poor and anyone in need while making sure she has the power to continue doing so AND aiding Alphonso when he gets back.

Also why do you assume the rebirth was for her and something for her to deserve? As a matter of fact, a lot of people in current timeline are getting a fair share of consequences for shit they pull unlike first timeline, and this "rebirth" could just be for the sake of a better ending suited for everyone, especially since last timeline the one to ascend the throne was Caesar and that affects an entire kingdom woth its people, not just Ariadne.

the story was contradictory, with the way she was supposed to be good but has done stupid shit and she was NOT a little cunning she doesnt need to be a white lotus but she was given a second chance at life and instead of a story where she completely wash off her hands off her past life she instead retraced her wrong steps and only had the golden finger of being reborn the story keeps insinuating the "virtous" stuff when its literally about revenge

God forbidden a women not being the personification of Mother Mary to be “deserving”. Why are women always expected to be extremely selfless to be seen as “good”? that’s not realistic, a women can be a good person and STILL have flaws and be egoistic at time, like any human.
Ariadne is no saint and that’s how she’s presented in the story, the characterization of her beEN a little wicked is ON PURPOSE, that YOU expect a female lead should be the typical angelic girl doesn’t mean the story is trying to present Ariadne as such, she’s more complex than that and she not being perfect doesn’t make her “the worst person in the story”

But things are not so black and white, it's not exactly washing hands off things or revenge, it's just a second life that's all. She wants to live it without being manipulated by Caesar again, or treated badly by family members again, or killing Alfonso, or watching many die from the plague, or many other things. She might've had big ideas when she first opened her eyes from turning back time, but let's be real you can't expect her to just up and leave everything behind. I honestly don't know what exactly bothers you in what she does to the people who intentionally harm her or others. She's not even a bad person or cruel to any innocent person, and while she's still a bit immature and ends up being crippled by her own inconsistencies in what she truly desires from this second life, she's not actually changing any of her core values.
