ML apologized to MC in chapter 20 of raws, and said that he was acting like an asshole because he was afraid of being rejected by MC, or something along those lines.
Also, the teacher is a red flag. He had been sexually abused/assaulted by a teacher when he was a student. And he probably plans to do that to MC. Whether he wants to or not, a teacher eyeing a student is gross realistically.
