Yes it's starts off as the past, because in the main story Daejeongs first appearance was in the hotel room (ch.24) after the karaoke bar incident Sihyeok had with Hyeok.
So we're slowly approaching the events that happened in the main story until we know what happened after the storage room thing happened (ch. 59/60), where Hyeok caught Sihyeok calling Daejeong "Hyeok"

Why’s he so obsessed with Hyeok? Actually does he even like Hyeok or just the wanting to dominate?
And why did he strangle Dajeong when he was little? I wonder if Sihyeok is like this due to that and finding out about BDSM in a messed up way (no child should see their parent or someone in the act).

So the thing is Sihyeok know that Daejeong thinks that he likes Hyeok in a romantic way (even though he justs wants to do it with him).
And Sihyeok did say "maybe I should just toy with him instead" (aka. Hyeok).
So I don't think he likes Hyeok in a romantic way, but I do think he wants Daejeong to think that way. Probably because of him wanting to hurt the person he likes (ch.59/60). Maybe that's why he calls him Hyeok during the act - at least at first.
In the next chapters we'll see how Sihyeok things of Hyeok during the intercourse — so my take on that is, that he just might really want to do it with Hyeok (maybe because Hyeok doesn't want to do it with him?? I'm not too sure). I mean he did try to assault him in the karaoke bar and him thinking of Hyeok happened right after that incident... So yeah..
So far I don't know why he fantasizes of Hyeok, but I hope it will become clear when the next chapters with translations drop TT
Imo, if he's really calling Daejeong "Hyeok" while doing the do, just to hurt Daejeong, he wouldn't actually think of Hyeok or fantasize it's him.
Do you remember the hotel scene (ch.26) where we first see Daejeong and Sihyeok says something around the lines of "maybe if he (Daejeong) was a bit tanner he'd look like him (Hyeok)". And the thing is, he mumbled this! so it wasn't actually meant to be heard by Daejeong, it was simply what he was thinking. Sadly he did tho.
And Sihyeok replacing Daejeong with Hyeok in his mind happened once more in the raws after the hotel scene. And it doesn't help, that poor Daejeong tries to imitate Hyeok's style of clothing.
And this part is what confuses me. Because if he would really like Daejeong in a romantic way, why would he actively imagine Hyeok???

Perhaps he likes both but not romantically, just sees them as sexual objects for the BDSM play. I don’t remember but did his mother or father have sex with someone else? Was there any infidelity involved? If so, it may contribute to his dream of Hyeok with him while Inseo is watching and trying to stop.

Yes so far, that seems to be most likely case! After all him getting pictures etc. of Daejeong over the years mustn't mean he loves him - it could also just be an obsession or something similar/else I can't put a name onto.

I just looked it up and the scene small Sihyeok saw was of two men and it was Sihyeok's father (he had black hair so I'm guessing that this was his father) who was being choked. So it's very likely there infidelity involved!
Maybe that's all the more why he keeps going for Hyeok during the main story even though he knows Hyeok like Inseo? Well, at least until the point he was firmly rejected by Hyeok. But it's been a hot minute since I've read the main story excluding Daejeong's part so I may be wrong about that
