so the story's pretty good, emotional -

but am I the only one kinda disappointed there isn't more scifi fantasy stuff?

i don't dislike the story, it is pretty good - but i just really wanted more scifi fantasy stuff. it just feels like a romantic drama that doesn't even need the whole MC went to the future and saved the world from an apocalypse.

what's the point of even having that part of the plot? this could have just been a story about a dude with a dysfunctional family who dealt with some kind of trauma or abuse or something that made him want to die and this story could still keep all the same stuff we've been seeing.

the story is fine as far as the drama and feels go but i wish they'd bring in more scifi fantasy elements to make it more cohesive with the whole MC went to the future and saved the world from an apocalypse part.
