This is a kind of a slow burn.. there is no intimacy in this story until the end of vol 2 of the novel (starts at chap 64).. so yeah, it could be 2 seasons or 1 long season before that..
It's a manga about a hero that gets betrayed by the princess and killed. He gets resurrected and he becomes so dark. I remember it having a chapter where he killed the captain's family and fed the corpses to him.
