It’s Aeroc’s.. I’m just saying my interpretation, but Clough of world 1 is still alive. Because at the end of Aeroc’s arc, he sees the elderly Clough in his dreams.
It’s something to do with Aeroc’s estate… it’s in the novel. And Au Clough sees the elderly Clough when he starts staying at the estate, he uses the room of Aeroc’s mom which is also Au Clough’s room…

Both endings are good. But it depends on your interpretation.
In Aeroc’s ending he got closure. In his hallucinatory state, his trauma will sometimes make it difficult for him to differentiate dream and reality. After giving birth, he confesses his sin to AU Clough, who tells him forgives him. This makes Aeroc feel better and he actually starts to be happier in the relationship. Spoiler, Aeroc was shocked because he has a different kid in this new world an alpha son who looks like Clough.
Clough’s ending he realizes that Aeroc was actually a good person. Which makes everything painful because he is powerless in this new peaceful world. He left so much hurt… it’s driving him crazy. He tries to commit suicide hoping to go back to w1 and find his Aeroc, he survives and realizes that it was impossible so he settles in this new world. He was hoping if he loves this Aeroc in front of him, maybe he’ll see his Aeroc one day.
