no smart thoughts but i feel like we're taking the "fact" that bada is a real person for granted. might as well be another npc. might be the reason for the missing memories if doha or someone else hasn't been messing with them (ig that's more likely but still)
Oh em. That would be one hell of a plot twist. Bada being the actual NPC and someone else being the real player (maybe Doha?). And this might be the reason why Doha does not want to end the game, because Bada will once again forget about him if he completed the game? I know there a re actual games where a player helps out the main character who is just an NPC. Maybe that's the case here?
yes!! like i might be completely off the mark here. but some stuff i'm still hung up on:
-doha can kill but bada can't (i wonder if the other two could? how did the previous sessions go?)
-according to jaeseob, seongchan and him teamed up first, and then bada joined them after, possibly after being let in on the situation by the other two
-doha's apparent lack of morality (something that seems inhuman, but makes a lot of sense for a human playing a game.) but then again even if doha is a player i don't think he's currently aware, necessarily
takatora kumajishi: his whole name literally means bear lion eagle tiger. mr alpha right there
arisaka uzuki: the u is for rabbit, ari in his last name can be ant but it's a different kanji so i'm not sure if it's intended
kameyama: turtle
karasuma (takatora's ex): crow
oosuzume (protective over karasuma): sparrow
inomata (the blonde liberal): boar
yamaarashi (always with inomata): porcupine
enma (i'm not like the other omegas): horse
let me preface this by saying that woojin is a walking disaster
the thing is. i don't really think it's about lingering feelings. sure, it's believable there's some (though in the end, personally, i believe he doesn't love minho and he is aware of this fact by now.) it's about being able to prove it. coming to terms with the fact itself? saying it to his ex's face? took forever to do it, caused a lot of damage, but he did it
proving it to someone else, though? how is he going to do that? by cheating and lying woojin not only betrayed taehwan's trust but also drained his own faith in himself. he loved taehwan so much, he expressed it, yet that didn't stop him from hurting him. how is this time going to be any different? what if he ends up being wrong again?
at this point what holds him back the most is not his life with minho but himself, his own bad decisions and being able to come to terms with what he did. i don't know maybe i'm wrong or reading too much into it, but i just think this is such a cool moment
reading it made me cringe and second but i'm honestly appreciating how it wasn't a "oh yes, Bad Evil Man is gone now! we can be together forever!" not everything is magically solved when you cut off a toxic person! he needs to put in the work. especially someone who has been lacking an identity up until now
despite everything i'd be lying if i said i wasn't lowkey rooting for them tbh. i thought the connection they shared at the beginning was sweet and unique. woojin wasn't just a regular fan, he saw a piece of himself in taehwan's role! and taehwan for the first time in his life felt appreciated for along with his insecurities.
i know taehwan literally says something like this at some point but like god, this really gets across how kind people who genuinely have a positive effect on your life can also end up ruining it. and vice versa! i liked that the author didn't try to deny that minho loved woojin. it'd just that love isn't always healthy or good. when you think about it minho and woojin are like two sides of the same coin. i mean everyone does want them both out of taehwan's life lmao. god i'm rambling so much and for what
i think it's realistic for a victim to doubt their own convictions and feelings like this especially after they've fucked up real bad and made bad decisions previously. idk i really like the way this story feels so cohesive with its themes of healing and relapsing. it IS frustrating but the story doesn't feel forcibly, arbitrarily prolonged to me, at least not as much as some others
are there any other akemi likers left in the wild. i know he sucks but that's the appeal! i stand with my cancelled wife (so that i can be around to watch him struggle and be a worse boyfailure) also still can't get over the "congrats, you finally got pregnant"
full support to the potential itome suitors in the comments though go get him guys
i kinda dig that arisaka and takatora are still hung up on the other (more so takatora lmao. asada nemui once said she'll make him suffer on twitter and i love her for that) idk if i see or want them ending up together (my only real expectation is for kameyama to get out of that situation) but i like that they feel directly challenged by the other whereas kameyama and ryuugasaki basically provide them with what they need in their lives. takatora heavily looks down on arisaka, and arisaka is fully aware takatora is a red flag. and yet they're kinda drawn to that? which would probably piss them off. i liked that throughout their fucking around phase they were mostly like yeah whatever i can't fix this guy. doomed dare i say
