I really enjoyed reading "Shutline". It felt so real — beautifully written with grounded characters. Both the MC and ML were well-developed, and their relationship actually added to the story instead of ruining anyone’s personality. Their connection was strong, natural, and never forced.
That’s exactly the kind of vibe I’m looking for — realistic manhwa with good writing and deep character development. I’m open to any genre except overly romantic ones (also yuri gerne, I never read any actually)— unless it’s something truly special. I usually avoid romance because it tends to be repetitive, full of clichés, and often ruins the MC’s character the moment they fall in love. I hate when a smart, independent MC suddenly becomes weak or totally dependent just because there’s a love interest. So if you know any stories that stay grounded and emotionally engaging, I’d love your recommendations!

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried searching for it but couldn’t find anything under that name — did you mean William in the Closet (옷장 속의 윌리엄 / To My Juliet Boy) by any chance? The Shakespeare reference made me think of that one. Let me know if that’s the one you meant! If not, feel free to correct me — I’d love to check it out.
Just a few minutes ago it signed me out. I tried like 6 times to login again but nothing worked until now, thankfully after the 7th time?! What the hell is going on MANGAGO!
Also I don't have a homepage and when I clicked on the list page, this message appeared on the screen “ Sorry, the page you have requested is not available yet"
What the hell?! Noooo AUTHOR Noooo Noooo don't put romance out of nowhere (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Why would you throw in a random sex scene (it was skipped and nothing showed but even still ) out of nowhere?! The story was so good already and now this? It just ruined the whole vibe for me. I’m worried this is going to become a real thing later and mess up everything I liked about the story.
╥﹏╥
I actually really liked how it was depicted.
To me it felt realistic, like two complex characters that respect each other for their respective qualities having the right time and place. It's not a random sex scene for the sake of it or for fanservice.
It's not like it was a brainless female character made solely to glaze on the mc, or a brainless mc looking at every women like a piece of meat, or a superstoic mc that never looked at a women once.
When I say it's realistic, it's because yes, people have desires and not hiding it feels more real and in tone with the series.
I totally respect your opinion, and I get why it might feel natural in the story. I just personally prefer to avoid anything romance-related because, most of the time, it feels repetitive, full of clichés, and often takes away from the MC’s character once they fall in love. I know there are some well-written ones out there, but it’s just not for me.
Oh okay I understand, sorry if I came out rude, I hate those kinds of badly written romance too actually. I felt like it wouldn't be the case here but maybe we just need to wait to see how the story unfolds and hope for it to be well-written
It's all good. I get what you mean, and yeah, hopefully, it stays well-written. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it unfolds. (=・ω・=)
