This is honestly hilarious, as expected of this mangaka lmao. I love how it subverts the vampire in love with high schooler trope by making the vampire a big loser and not super mysterious lmao.
WAH this was so cute and gentle. I really found their development to be quite subdued and mature compared to a lot of BL right now—it was refreshing to see a couple who mutually helped each other grow into themselves.

Every couple of years I go back and reread this and it’s just as good every time. It brings me back to like 2016-17 when this, Killing Stalking, and Blood Bank were basically the only translated BL manhwa at the time. They were all the rage because they were intense and in a new format, and I was following those as they released. At the End of the Road is such a fun, shamelessly melodramatic (in the best way!) story that has all the trappings of the subgenre. It’s like the ultimate BL—transmigration, bullying, and childhood friends, oh my! Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking but I get so smiley every time I reread this. The MCs’ dynamic is so fun and I really like that it touched on the dysmorphia and psychological effects of what body hopping would entail. IMO, ignore the hate comments if you haven’t read it and just give it a go—it’s a whole bunch of fun. I’m honestly kind of shocked at how many there are because this was considered like a masterpiece at its time lol, but I guess trends change and younger folks come in with different opinions. Still! It’s a lot of fun

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOU’RE A MINOR DO NOT COMMENT SHIT LIKE “As a minor…” IN NSFW MANGA SPACES. Not only is it unsafe for y’all but it also makes the adults who are the intended audience extremely uncomfortable to be talking with someone about smut who is a child. I’m a whole ass adult with a job, I don’t want to talk about werewolf porn with a 14 year old. Realistically I know y’all read that kind of thing (I did at that age) but for your own sake and for mine please don’t bring it up or lie.
Especially be careful if you say stuff like “as a minor this is super problematic” because the most common ways kids are taken advantage of online are adults who pose themselves as “safe” and agree with your statement but still engage in conversations about the NSFW content and groom you. Declaring your age is not a shield to protect you like some of y’all behave, it is a target you paint on your back.
Wah I love them so much, and this story. It doesn’t sugar coat anything or their behavior, but doesn’t make it difficult to understand why they’re so well suited to each other. Seonwoo needed someone that incessantly cared for him despite his protestations and insistence that he’s fine/doesn’t need anything. Yuri needed someone who needed him and would give him the kind of endeared-but-exasperated love he was constantly searching for as a child. Argh this author is so good!

I’m totally in love with how evenly matched they are for each other, lol. The governor can totally see through the MC’s bullshit and the result is this really layered mind game.
BL manga with butlers?
BL manga with really emotionally complex, deep plots? I like the sort of thing that Nakamura Asumiko, Takahashi Hidebu, Yoshinaga Fumi, and occasionally Harada puts into their work.
Sobbing!! This was so beautiful, I was so worried it would end tragically but I’m so glad J got the happy ending they deserved. Paul is such a sweetheart and I’m so happy everything worked out for them both :,)
Even though J no Subete is 3 volumes long, each volume is a dynamic story in itself covering a parti...
