I get frustrated when people in the comments for this manga start talking shit about the story because the guy cheated in the past. I’m not a fan of it at all in books and it’s normally something that would make me out the story down but the story literally wouldn’t have been as good or worked thematically without it. The whole thing is about regrets and misspent time, right? People regretting how they’re spending their last days before a meteor hits, people regretting not being present for someone who was depressed, etc etc…like the whole thing is centered around making amends and moving forward and healing despite those regrets because, ultimately, the world doesn’t end and you just keep going and do what you can to live better in the future. The ML having regretted his behavior, changed, and essentially built a stable future for the two of them via the house really plays into this theme and is done really well.

I remember reading this when the first chapter came out--I was in high school and now I'm in a PhD program. This remains one of my all time favorite BL, and the ending only solidified that. It's so unique and isn't afraid to center on heavy or atypical topics, and learning that it's essentially part of one giant never-ending cycle is just fantastic. Props to the mangaka, excellent job.

This is a really compelling manhwa! Sometimes I feel like GL authors are afraid to make the women characters anything but nice and pure so this toxicity is welcome! I’m really enjoying it so far

I love how deranged Cesar is lmao, it’s kind of hard to find stuff where characters are like completely balls to the wall apeshit and the story doesn’t try to work overtime to be like “actually here’s why this is actually normal behavior + tragic backstory to justify why he’s like this”. Yeah he had a rough life but Roses and Champagne just embraces that he’s an untamed freak with a comically large ween and it’s refreshing—especially too because Lee Won is such a dry and stubborn protagonist. He’s a yandere through and through and it never tries to convince you otherwise lmao

Awwwh this was so good. Usually student/student stories bore me because they fall into a lot of usual trappings of the genre, but this was really good and well written. The main two were characterized really well and their romance was very well developed. A winner in my book
