This is my favorite manga. Idk what it is about the story—it’s just so mature and subdued and literary. I reread of frequently when I’m feeling down. It’s refreshing to have characters that act like their age and like real, grown up adults. Such a wonderful story.
I see some of y’all are losing hope about the couple/BL elements...don’t worry! Chinese BL novels (which this is based on) are notorious for being super slow burns, many of them very plot heavy. It’ll happen, we just have to be patient! :)
Exactly. And Chinese BL are more on subtle moments, quiet stares and simply being together. They're not so much into acting like a 'couple'. I actually this over things happening so fast. I like things that progress the relationship and focus on plot.
It was so good but don’t think I can ever reread this because of how raw it was. Mishima in particular made me just feel so so sad. Heartbreaking
