Thanks to the chat at the end of chap. 3 I googled "seme pidgeon" (Yes I know it's spelled wrong T_T) I was very concerned and disheveled when I saw Diabloik Lovers and also a picture from "Kaeru no Prince-Sama" By Panco (You should read their books :P I love them all) and lots of pictures of pigeons and a meme saying "Who's seme now?" and I thought "...pigeon..s-..ex?" (⊙…⊙ )
Not calling anyone out or anything, but DAMN, Hayato was getting A LOT of fucking hate, but on a serious level, I don't think any of you people hating on him know what it's like to have the ONE person you love in the whole world hate you and ignore you, especially after depending on them for so long and having them always be there and then just suddenly stop when your love for them is reaching it's peak. Plus how his character was portrayed, Hayato probably had some mental issue, or limerence or something, HE CAN'T FUCKING HELP IT, leave him alone. I really relate to him as someone who's been through being hated and ignored (even mentally and somewhat physically abused) by the one person that's always been there for you and the only person you've ever had to turn to. So can you guys, chill the fuck out with the hate, please?? lol, not mad, just saying, it's triggering as someone who relates to him as a person (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Maybe you can understand the pain of feeling abandonned or ignored by the person you like the most. But the hatred in the comments is not about that.
I think and I hope you can't relate exactly like Hayato, like, feeling the urge to rape, stalk, sequester someone. Not matter the reason, you can't turn a blind eye and minimize those actions.
As far as I am concerned, no amount of his love can make up for raping his brother, stalking him, putting a fucking camera in his friends apartment, chaining him up in their apartment or spending his brothers hard earned money, whether it was earned by selling his body or not. Even if he does suffer mental illness, those actions are completely and utterly disgusting, and by no means can be defended. It doesn't even seem like love, more like obsession, a desire to own something completely, which Hayato has expressed multiple times throughout the story. Like a child with a toy they've grew up withp Hell, it doesn't even seem like he shows any sort of remorse for what he's done, expressing that his brother has nothing to be embarrassed about after raping him.
Does that mean I didn't enjoy the story? No, it doesn't. I did enjoy the story, and I can see your point- But, it's my personal opinion that he deserves the hate he gets.
I understand what you mean, but in the end, what's the point in hating him and stuff if the brother loved him anyway and was fine with it?? (After the first time I mean). Also no I assure, I feel no burning rage or desire to rape my loved one, he would probably slap me（￣へ￣）
I completely get where you're coming from, but people cannot control what their mental illnesses make them do, people with mental illnesses don't control the illness, the illness usually controls them, and that's that. They can't do anything about it, so what the hell is the point in hating them after they've already been told what they did is wrong and saying they understand? Also like I was saying in my original comment, Limerance is depictably a mental illness, love and obsession become one and the same, and the sufferer can
t do anything about it. Also, I get where the not feeling remorse comes from, but technically I feel what the hell does all that matter if, in the end, the brother was absolutely fine with it all along, and in some parts, before he confesses, it shows. Also I would not have been fine with those things unless I'd gotten to the end and figured out, "Oh, he wasn't depressed or whatever for his brother "raping" him, he was just embarrassed because he loves his brother and is doing things that he is completely fine with doing but doesn't want the brother to know yet" I get where the hate is coming from, but after reading the whole thing, throw that hate behind and see the god damn bigger picture people, see the whole POINT of the manga itself.
Aren't you romanticizing stalking, raping, illegal detention and so on a little too much? These are all crimes pubishable by law. Not even sure if you can call them crimes of passion in the court of law. One can plead for insanity which will give soemone time inside the psychiatric ward of a hospital or in an institution. Either way these are all criminal acts that are unjustifiable and punishable by law not to sympathizr with.
