People have said the comments and topics here are interesting (I'm new so I don't really know how true that is as a reader from the official app). Haven't seen any hate comments. Maybe it's my fault for not going through all of them to confirm for myself, not that any of the comments here can stop me from supporting Mingwa. Haters can keep imagining sucking Jaekyung's dick in their private room at home.
We don’t hate Minghwa or I think so, but I can’t say I agree with the way Jaekyun acts. I don’t think he is a good personne, I’ll probably hate him in real life but Minghwa can make him a good character. If not then bas thing for me I just had fals expectations and read BJ Alex sides again bc they are good.
Well me and people I usually talk bl with like my groups of friends if you prefer don’t take it like this. Just know I’m not the only personne thinking this way And I did just « I’ll probably hate him irl » meaning just has you say I don’t really care bc he is fictional. Of courses Mingwa can do whatever she want, who the fuck am I ? I didn’t even pay to read the beginning of Jinx - Just saying I don’t like the characters personnality and I don’t think the main couple has a healthy relationship. But I still enjoy to read it to see where it’ll lead as I catch onto it.
SPOILER ALERT
Ok? ( ̄へ ̄)are you trying to make me talk and give out spoilers? This comment won’t be able to hide the spoilers below.

SPOILER ALERT
Everything. Mingwa’s art style changed slightly for this series to fit the current trend, so it’s disappointing to see; I’m not saying she shouldn’t try something new.
Color palette: 15/10. So far, I find them to be very appealing. I love the shadow highlights and the cool and warm shades used here, too. Mingwa’s probably enjoying this, it’s like makeup. The facial colors on the two pairs look very aesthetic. I’m a fan of the coaches, too. They remind me of my friendly former teachers who are very manly and reliable.
Character art style design: Beautified to fit the female readers’ aesthetics and tastes. Body types look diverse, and some play into the stereotypes quite well. I love it. Diverse designs (body types, color choices, features, weight/height, ratio, proportions, small faces, really big and appropriate angles and eye-catching side profiles, as I said, the ratios look good)
Artstyle: 50/10. I have my reasons. I love sketching/drawing them and like the two pairs on my iPad whenever I’m bored without refs. The color choices and how she layers them make me feel like a detective when I’m guessing them using my instincts and speculative skill. I’ll never find out about her work-in-progress flows. I’m just a tiny bit curious. It’s clear and straightforward to follow, making it very convenient for fast reading or skimming. That means she can tell stories through her art. The refined art style is just a tiny bit inconsistent, and it happens only a few times.
Writing style: Most female writers are talented. I have nothing to say. She’s one of them.
What I like about the pairings:
- Height difference (It’s cute)
- Size difference (It’s CUTE)
- Eye shapes (notice how big the uke’s eyes are and how sharp the seme’s eyes are). I love it. Some artists tend to follow the old Japanese way sometimes, and I find it a little nostalgic to catch some art refs from the older works)
- Eyebrows (love the styles)
- their eyes and eyebrows, how they frame their faces so nicely. Very expressive. I’ve said this before, female artists are very expressive. They know how to work with different styles in their art and still give their characters more depth and expressions, you know, subtle microexpressions. It’s not as detailed as you see in seinen manga or other more adult demographics, but I can tell she puts much effort into making them distinctive from different artists. She’s sprinkled her unique Mingwa touch. I don’t hate the efforts done.
- Social gap
- Income gap
- Opposites attract (one of my top fav genres)
- The second pair’s seme is disingenuous and can be so two-faced that he’s very well versed in this art I don’t find that character type that often anymore, so it’s kinda nice to see Mingwa bringing back some old type of recognizable characters into the story. The ditzy, natural, airheaded uke is also one of the most adorable types of character (manly, cute, lovable, lively, not your typical tall, dark, handsome, brooding seme/uke/riba. He has that MC vibe from a shounen anime going). The second pair’s romance will probably be more lighthearted to contrast the intense contractual/FWB/colleagues/boss-employee/apartment owner-tenant/debtor-debtee/overlapping savior-indebtedness complex dynamics that the main couple have. It’s gonna be interesting to follow.
- Hair color, style: light haired uke + dark haired seme, dark haired uke + light haired seme. The styles look good on them. Maybe 2nd second will have an even shorter hairstyle later on. Who knows. It can happen, and maybe he’ll look even more attractive than the seme from the 1st pair.
- Work life and slice of life (I’m not complaining about the recent rise in more BL sports series. It’s 1 million times better than reading any BL dj based on shounen manga. I appreciate the effort to make actual stories with plots other than those of non-BL ships. I hope Mingwa will explore sports more and get into it. That’d be more interesting to read if the sports element suddenly takes center stage. It’d also be terrific if she could do more research on Kim Dan’s actual skills to connect more exciting plots like helping with Jae Kyung’s rehab, flesh it out more to make it more handsomely well done, so well cooked)
- Senior citizen. There’s always a grandmother or a grandfather who’s almost expiring or still alive and evil. I like the grandma. She’s like Giovanni’s despicable grandma, too, but in a far more acceptable way that society can accept and tolerate. People love some sad backstory to make/build the uke’s character. He’s the full definition of diligence and perseverance. Even Jae Kyung recognizes these traits and respects him for that. Honestly, they both have that moment when they’re in awe of each other. They’re passionate about what they do. All four characters do (Jae Kyung, Kim Dan, Hee Sung & Yoon Gu) although Kim Dan’s character is the most ordinary and more human (very well established in season 1).
- The jinx. I hope it’s not like Pearl Boy, another ongoing BL series (It feels like the creator forgot to make some critical plots about the origin of the pearls and Joo Ha’s origin. Is he a siren? Is he a prince from Atlantis? Is his mom a water goddess? There are some unanswered questions about the story, too bad it feels like it’s not fully developed). We’ll have to wait for the updates to understand about the jinx. Is it just a superstition, or is it real?
- Insomnia. The seme’s a light sleeper. Anyone who does sports and has shallow body fat can feel restless. It feels as if you’re half asleep and never well-rested. That pain you feel is just about right. Athletes need to be aware of how they’re feeling physically. I love this subtle take on pressure, expectations, and the seme’s psyche from the uke’s pov. He’s trying to be more understanding of the seme’s position and what’s at stake. People’s jobs, incomes and professional sports careers are on the line: Let’s face it, men’s sports are always more entertaining to watch because of the level of sportsmanship. The pressure is high, and he’d do whatever it takes to keep the adrenaline high as a defending champion.
- Losing weight and the evil scheming incident. So this is a spoiler also. The seme isn’t the type that can quickly lose weight, so he has to work very hard to do it. What I don’t like about this part: the uke’s indecisiveness is trying to affect the seme mentally, and I genuinely feel for the seme. I understood the feeling of being doubted by someone you trust lol. It’s totally the uke’s fault for pulling that move on the seme who’s in a different mindset. In competitive sports, if you see some explosive emotions from the team or athletes suddenly having outbursts (to hell with pleasantries and politeness), that’s not necessarily bad. They get snappy and snarky without holding back to get their points across. If the readers feel like that’s very rude (oh, the seme is a jerk, but he’s right to get angry), then you haven’t been on any sports teams that are very serious about winning. These people can get very competitive and scary at times. There are those who’ll try to raze you without thinking much and those who are unlikely sabotagers, like Kim Dan. Nobody should take it personally when your coaches/team chew and spit you out. Criticisms are there for those who will accept, and they’ll build you. If you take things too personally, you won’t get anywhere. I’m just saying this is pretty accurate. Like I said, the uke is a very timid person. Nobody needs that when they’re all in and in the middle of doing an arduous task. I’ll give it a 25/50 for the sports element part for now. The action-fi part of the mma matches is where I think Mingwa is lacking. It’s not as good as reading shounen/seinen/josei/shoujo sports-focused manga. There’s more room for development. There aren’t enough panels used to show the matches and action sequences elaborately. Where are the dynamics? Why even add sports to this series but not spend more time developing it to enable it to be sufficient enough to carry the whole story even without the smut/jinx? Or is the jinx more important than winning and arriving at that point? It needs more episodes on the sports matches to make it very entertaining to read, like showing the inner monologue and conflicts and reactions from the crowd and giving more speech bubbles/screen time to the pros in the team lol connect it more to Kim Dan’s stuff and how he can boost Jae Kyung’s performances other than the smut. Or is he really just that, an oversized sex doll to ward off the effects of bad luck? Really… There has to be more than that. If Mingwa doesn’t delve into the jinx that much, exploring the other elements besides the smut is best.
- Seme pattern. For some reasons seme 1 is trash, whereas Seme 2 is more mature and good-natured than Seme 1. That’s all I’m gonna say.
This should be enough (don’t ask for more, I hate being that person giving spoilers)
They suck JK's dick all the time that's why they're here sending hate vibes and comments. They're bitching about the character they'll simp later and wanna ride him after Mingwa turns him green. I'm also a reader from the official app :D Ophiuchus is also one. That makes 3 people. I know more, but I don't want to name drop (they hate mangago users for not supporting the woman. How can she live without money in a society that house more than half a million radical antifeminist group members who don't respect females of all ages? Mangago users who don't spend any money on the artists/writers almost closely resemble parasites who leech off other uploaders who paid and uploaded free chapters. Excuse the parasites, not all are mentally ill like some here who can't tell reality from woman made creations).
Do you feel better after the life support from me? Hang in there :D
I found your funny reply below (I'm like wtf?):
the oldest jobs in the world. Is he a bad person for doing this? Well, can you blame him? He's doing what he can to protect someone important. Sometimes, people do crazy things to survive. He's in a serious survival mode. I love his character even though he's very weak and indecisive (he can't think of better ways to earn more money). I also love his loyalty to his granny. I respect that. That is a deep love that anyone can relate to if they have family.
Character design?
Beautiful designs.
•As the Japanese say, BL male characters are bishounen and they look similar to Asian features, thry have that youthful looks.
•Good body ref diversity. Granny looks real like a granny. Coaches look good and authoritative. Athletes look like athletes. Kim Dan looks like a Kim Dan.
Story arcs/plotlines?
• I love the modern urban setting and the unpredictable sports atmosphere.
• When Kim Dan's in trouble and dealing with his darkest moments, JaeKyung is always there for him. After seeing Kim Dan's struggle, he gradually warms up to him although he is still overbearing and selfish.
Particular story elements/tropes?
•High adrenaline men's sports
•Sports
•Slice of Life
•Work Life (clear roles and hierarchy)
•Adult/mature themes
•Hot tempered men and very competitive sportsmanship
•Level headed, nurturing and caring men
•The pagan way of dealing with life's hardships. Anal sex in satanism is not a new occurrence. It's happened for so long. That's how the rituals can power up the vessels from fucking the conduit and gain strength. Pagan way of life is evil in Christians' eyes because they follow the Bible and have seen things when the venture into the dark places of the world who take from the weak and initiate victims by satanic sexual abuse rituals. Not very gruesome like in our reality. This is the innocent version of satanism. Conditioning victims to accept the abuse and make them want it themselves. It is a good story regardless. Well written. It'd be more interesting if the creator delve into the spiritual part of the jinx to make it more amusing to read too bad she's not up for it (she needs to do a lot of research).
The writing overall?
Too early to decide and judge. I still enjoyed reading the webtoon
What about the art do you like?
I'm an artist, I love beautiful arts
What about the plot do you like?
I love the way the creator switches up the pov to tell the stories from certain characters or from outsiders to make it unfold as if you're also also part of the story. Good writing style.
Particular characters/characterization?
Hypermascusline characters that are almost true to the real world. The hyper fixation on outer appearances and the other normal characters like Kim Dan's body type who is slender without working out like the average Asian person.
•Superstition. Believe it or not, many successful people are superstitious (if they're not Christians) because that is the way of the world. As a pagan and an atheist, I can relate to this culturally and spiritually. It's dumb but it can also be real when your opponents can do black magic and suck lucifer's dicks. As an atheist, whenever I feel bothered, I only have to call my Christian friends to help me out and they'll pray for me. It works like a charm that you can buy from the temples. Charms from the temples are excessively expensive compared to the free prayers my Christian friends give. Pagans like me who have Christian friends understand that their God is a kind God who never fails to help even pagans like myself. As a pagan and an atheist, I'm very aware of my lifestyle that don't connect with my Christian friends. They pray for what is right and good. I pray for my enemies to die or fail. I've prayed for worse but these days, I've prayed for something better. Sending good vibes only. People think it's funny for pagans to have rituals. Well, that's the way I was raised. I don't plan on changing anytime soon. Even pagans like myself have high moral attributes. For one, I don't eat meat. I'm vegan. I can 100℅ confirm that I have strong morality since I was raised vegan (vegan baby) and I'm absolutely kinder than most people. My way of life is different than Christians but I can understand them from my own personal experience. Many people hate vegans as much as they hate Christians.
•Hot tempered men and very competitive sportsmanship
•Level headed, nurturing and caring men
•Opposites attract
•One sided love
•Age gap
•Highly attractive characters (for example like JaeKyung) who thinks he's naturally able to have anyone he desires (Most attractive people date other attractive people. They don't simply date anyone. They have to be the one to take the first step because most people think they're already taken. Meaning, JaeKyung is more assertive and decisive because he's in a different position).
•Kim Dan's desperate character. In this economy, nobody will blame Kim Dan for doing what's he's doing. Prostitution is one of the oldest jobs in the world. My first reaction to your post is
WTF?
Enchantress,
I HOPE YOU'RE TROLLING IN SOME OF THOSE SENTENCES LMAO
I think in lit. clazz, they're taught to same formula to make the character growth interesting.
Exp:
-> Trash to Saint
-> Weak and timid to Decisive and not a pushover
Mingwa's probably sticking with the classics. The formula are all well tested and proven to be solid in character building and story development.
"but Minghwa can make him a good character."
This wording is a bit confusing but after reading a few times I get what you mean. Yeah I totally agree with you.
LMAOO Exousia! Is this Enchantress's post? Where'd you find this LOL! She's funny af

Crack head (≧∀≦)
Haters, I see you. You're the loudest bunch who don't respect MINGWA.
They're secretly mounting on JaeKyung's lethal weapon BAZOOKA, lap dancing, stripping, throwing their heads back and moaning for him
Why are you clowns so insatiable?
IM CACKLING
Yeah, we ridin', ridin', ridin' on up
So shinin', shinin', shinin' for sure
Ooh, ah, I'm lookin' so lavish
Ooh, ah, put in work like it's a habit
It's a big move, every day's like a dream
Moaning for JK
Hoeing for Zenya
Slow twerking for Enchantress's haters
(=・ω・=)
Pagan rituals of welcoming Mingwa's birth of creativity
I have angry downvotes from the haters of Mingwa's brilliance
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ the more they hate the more they'll love him
