the storytelling was phenomenal, and i loved the references to the little mermaid that were scattered throughout the story. i absolutely adored mag and seeing character development and her shift from ‘margaret who loves the prince’ to ‘mag’ (although i hold much sympathy for squall as well) this novel beautifully portrays the effects of war, and the vicious misunderstandings and discrimination that comes from propaganda and manipulation.
to everyone whos lost as hell just a lil reminder that this is the same author of the melancholic conman
slowly starting to feel like nanjos a character with a lot more beneath the surface and these comments only strengthening this feelin
