I can’t even enjoy the comment section anymore, I go to read them in a happy mood after finishing a chapter but it’s all Americans pushing their ideals and morals on others, age of consent is different in other countries, legally being an adult and being seen as an adult is different in other countries, sexual harassment and rape is under different laws in other countries, people were brought up with a different sense of what’s normal in other counties, I swear it’s always the Americans that can’t realise the rest of the world doesn’t go off their ideas.

I rarely if ever go around the comment and turn off the notification bc of now nuclear people go on the comments of any manga that has an actual decent story.

1) there's nothing inherently wrong with critiquing media as long as you're sensible about it. I understand some people can be purist but that doesn't mean people can never criticize problematic stuff, otherwise media would never evolve to be better. People criticized things like minstrel shows and got ppl to stop doing blackface, why can't people do the same type of things for today's media?

2) Americans aren't the only ones who know who to think critically about media trust me. There is plenty of intelligent discussions around BL in the entire west and Japan as well (that's why a lot of BL is better written nowadays, fujos do their research more and are more aware of problematic tropes). Just because mangago is a dumpster fire of ignorant fujos doesn't mean other fujos aren't better about these things.

okay einstein first of all obviously one can critique fiction, art and storyline and stuff about the manga/hwa/hua. BUT what if they became too toxic and prevalent? in every manga,manhwa, mahua i have visited that has tags about rape, bdsm, incest, if these comments becomes too frequent, what do you think will happen to readers who actually enjoys such tags.

i mean, if you hate something just don't read it you know? like would you purposely go to pornhub and comment hate on rape scenarios just because it's rape? you don't. why? because you know it's fantasy. a place to fap and go. and even if you did comment such things. you're unwelcome. why? because you know fair well that it's a porn site.

1. What I’m saying is it didn’t used to be this toxic dissuasion media. It was a safe place for people to enjoy, when people didn’t like it, they stopped reading, or were polite, modest, and respectful. Considering they knew this is very illegal, taking advantage of the authors time and effort, hard earned money being robbed. Through mutual understanding of that, we wouldn’t bash their work behind their back, on this fucking website. All the comments used to be positive or curious, asking questions about something they didn’t understand, or it basically looked like a comment section below a girls selfie on insta. Get me?
