So. If you want an honest review, here's my version...
They say to write about what you know. This author has a few knowledge gaps that are strange and sometimes disturbing.
First of all, when you have blood drawn they do not stab you in the finger. They use a vein on the inside of your elbow usually. Instead of a doctor, the author decided to have the ML do this instead, showing that he had a "certificate" however do to the way it was described I do not believe the author knows what a phlebotomist is.
Second, as others have mentioned the lazy opening scene to explain her pregnancy is 100% rape. However, the author chooses to describe this as "losing her first time" even to the point the ML can't figure out why she would possibly avoid him. He unironically wonders if perhaps "losing her first time" gave her trust issues. Throughout, the word rape is never used as if it doesn't exist. Anybody can understand how messed up that is so let's move on.
Third, the child. I do not believe the author has ever met a 3 year old. Either that or the soul of an 80 yr old man is possessing their kid. I understand for plot development the kid is an excellent way to make plot happen, but I find it rather disturbing tbh.
and finally, I wish to say that if you can ignore all of these things this is not a bad story. It is a breezy read and has some face slapping. If you read a lot of Chinese manga, you may in fact find this a pleasantly complex piece with intricate plot in comparison.
I myself will be consciously ignoring the parts that I find either annoying or horrendous and keep reading while keeping these things in mind.

I really want to like this manga. But the harem is killing me. I would really love it if our darling truck-kun could line up the shot and remove the entire harem to a different isekai novel.

Personally the harem seems forced and unnecessary the mc is unique enough
( with him being a delinquent/scary faced guy)(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ without needing to add a super CLICHE harem. ヽ(`Д´)ノ I mean if they WERE to add a girl at all I would of preferred it if it was nyad, a dryad or some supernatural species instead as that would of tied in greatly with the spirits being fond of him and would of made a whole lot more of sense in my opinion.ヾ(☆▽☆)ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Not to mention I would of liked it if she was someone who bared some similar personalities and or at least was someone who can stand on her own instead of causing MORE problems for the mc. ( ̄へ ̄)I have nothing against the girls I just wish they were minor characters that pop up every once in awhile instead of making them part of the official cast of main characters as a lot of the times they seem to drag the mc down and interfere with the flow of the story............... at least that is my viewpoint on the matter.(-.-)

I want to start by saying I loved this
But I got this odd vibe that this was a prequel story. Like when an author does a story on the main couple but then shows the background of everyone's fav side characters. I think it's because there wasn't a lot of drama? Like the simplicity and fluff of it all, either way it's such a satisfying read.

Having read the novel, the latest chapter seemed to be lacking. It seems very rushed and out of pace for some reason. Does anyone know if they abbreviating the story for the manga all of a sudden?

It isn't rushed? But WN had all the major plot points but there was no prisoners no interrogation.. and I like this more it showcases more politics and country management
Even the demon lord kazaream was revealed really late to feel like he's a threat
And Yuki being a mastermind wasn't showed from his perspective either

LN and WN got valentine the prob with it is its in the end part well its when rumina got awakened though but in LN there is this plot when laplace infiltrated. so they both have the same plot but not in the same chapters same with this interogation in light they interogate them before the meeting but in WN the king was interogate after the meeting ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Many people are curious about how Damien came about and I have the whole story, spoilers included.
Pull up a chair, it's a bit complicated.

So basically, the father of Hugh and Hugo was the previous Duke. He married his sister and had the twins. He also fathered several girls in for the twins to marry. The book mentions 3 girls in particular. For simplicity I'll call them 1, 2, and 3.
1: A healthy girl who was older than the twins. The previous Duke married her after the twin's mom died. She is the one who died at the west tower and was pregnant at the time (killed by Hugo)
2: A sickly girl who was the same age as the twins. She was thrown away by the duke because she would probably die before being useful.
3: A girl younger than the twins died when she was 12 from a horse riding accident. Originally meant to marry Hugo, but was young enough that Philip was going to marry her to Damian if he could.
It is unclear the exact order of events and it may or may not have been a coincidence, but Hugo (the original Hugo) met sister 2. The sick one. They fell in love and didn't know they were siblings. After doing the deed but without getting too serious, Hugo decided to kill his dad and sister 1 (his stepmom). Since he also killed himself he had no way of knowing that he got his girlfriend pregnant. She gave birth to Damian and then died. Philip (who may have set them up in the first place) took care of Damian until he was 2, and then gave him to the new Hugo and emotionally manipulated Hugo into keeping him.
Long story short, it's all a mess and kinda gross. But lemmie know if you have any questions.

I'm dying here. The manga version for this is dramatic AF. The scene in the latest chapter with her parents is so scary! I didn't even remember it from the novel because it was such a nothingburger scene!! LMAO
