im really tryna like kang woojin bc it seems like he’s gonna be endgame but he’s giving me real wacko vibes that i wish our precious uke would just end up w anyone in that house other than kang woojin ╥﹏╥ but im still keeping an open mind for the day the writer turns it all around and i start to simp for kang woojin!! haha
I’m crying for Kwon.
Kwon is made to be a gruff character, he isn’t soft like Taejoo. He is hot headed, impatient and can be cold at times. He’s frustrated that the uke has decided to push him away and avoid him without a good explanation. In his own way, I think the uke can be just as cruel as well. He pushed everyone away as a means to defend himself from getting hurt, but at the same time he is hurting Kwon without knowing it. And when he chose to talk to his ex over finishing his convo with Kwon, that really hurt Kwon, hence why he said “It’s not like I don’t get hurt too” .
What Kwon displayed there was very real. In anger, we tend to forget things like being considerate and we especially don’t have the power to choose words that don’t hurt the other person. Kwon had to deal w the uke, and then this bug Taejoo came out of nowhere pushing his buttons even further. Like even I would lose my shit. And then the uke quickly said “I’ll meet you now, tomorrow!” as if he was only going to meet Kwon out of fear/desperation and not because he sincerely wanted to talk to Kwon. That made it all the more worst, imo. Which was why Kwon said “Tomorrow, or whenever. Do whatever you want.” since he’s disappointed at the uke’s response. Kwon didn’t want to force the uke to meet him out of a sense of obligation bc he’s scared that Kwon would be angry, he wanted them to really talk it out. So, at this point, whether the uke wanted to see him or not, it didn’t matter when. It mattered WHY the uke was going to meet him in the first place.
In this situation, the writer wrote the dialogues so well!! Such realistic lines from each of the characters that expressed the deep emotions that run through them. Kudos to the writer. Honestly, this manhwa is the only manhwa where I could say there is no right/wrong character. Of course, some characters are more annoying than others (Taejoo ), but elements of realism are well integrated into this manhwa and I can’t wait for the next chapter!!!
whoever picked this up and translated it — thank u sm!! this story has reached PEAK ANGST
