Grief makes people do crazy things, and with Dan feeling the way he is to ml he might help out the opponent willingly. He has nothing to lose at this point because the sole reason he even kept that job was for his grandma. If he loses her, he has nothing. Honestly I want ml to feel like shit, make him realize how good he had it. I imagine he's gonna have a breakdown if he loses this fight AND loses Dan.
Honestly I dont see how the ml is gonna redeem himself with how much of an asshole he is. I can already see the standard plot where mc is gonna get hurt and ml is gonna save him OR mc betrays ml and ml begs mc blah blah. But I just wanna see the ml suffer sooooo bad, like he's an asshole to everybody so it might be nice to see him get a taste of his own medicine. (⊙…⊙ )(づ￣ ³￣)づ
