I am mlm and this is something commonly enjoyed by mlm in Japan and other countries too. Big age gaps and teacher/student romance is also quite common for straight couples, even in mainstream media, and that doesn't get nearly as much backlash, which seems more homophobic to me than the existence of this does. I understand your viewpoint, but I think if somebody reads a manga (especially one intended for adults) and suddenly thinks pedophilia or homophobia is okay, they definitely had issues to begin with. People should be able to read a piece of fiction and still acknowledge that it wouldn't be okay in real life. And I'm saying this as someone who's mainly here for the secondary couple (no age gap) rather than the main.
of course! i am in no way trying to stop someone else from enjoying it, i just wanted to address that big age gaps in consumable entertainment involving wlw and mlm where the person is a minor is very concerning and can ultimately harm the community due to the spread of stereotypes.
i thought it was cute at first and enjoyed looking at stuff about the secondary couple, but unfortunately im just very strict on stuff that portrays relationships between a minor and a grown adult, mostly because theres a sort of power dynamic because of maturity and such!

if your parents met once they were legal adults that’s completely fine. the issue is when one of the persons is literally an underaged minor. there’s the issue of maturity that sets everything off. youre the weirdo for thinking its okay.
they do break up in the end!
the whole plot of the story was to show how love stories dont always fit your expectations. which is why we see all the thoughts that mooki and nari have towards their relationship.
personally i think their breakup was for the best since continuing to be together despite not being able compromise and communicate properly was harming them.
We do see them meet again in the epilogue chapter, they meet in a cafe and i think (dont quite remember because i read it a while ago) mooki had a ring on his finger so he mightve gotten married.
For some reason this hurts my heart. They look cute together but w the way their relationship is going, it's prob for the best that they break up.
yeah! i was really upset when i found out about their breakup because they definitely had the potential to be a really good couple. but it was for the best :)
