2 1/2 years is not long at all I think most manhwa series run for 2-4 years. Also it depends on how many breaks the author takes in between. People definitely tag the pearl boy spinoff with rape but not enough people have that's why it doesn't show up in the most used tags for it. For your last point, Netflix should hire you to make a movie script.

Guwon's starting to give "Born sexy yesterday" rather than whatever he had going on at the beginning. Maybe this is too harsh of me to say I feel like the writing has sort of decayed a bit. Guwon and teach's characterizations seem sort of heavy handed now, as opposed to the beginning where more things were implied or kept mysterious. Maybe its just a personal preference of mine, but I feel like the author doesn't have to spell out every little part of their (lowkey cliche) thoughts out to us Like "I let myself care about him not knowing he was the reason behind so many people's pain" or "I can't stop feeling disgusted with myself" or "He knows what's right or wrong and he's not afraid to call me out". Not gonna lie I think this would've flowed better in novel form, like I actually started wondering if it was a novel adaptation at one point. I'm still intrigued by their universe and all of the mysteries the author has set up, and the whole meaning of the title as well, so I'm going to keep reading ofc. But still, a part of me can't help but wonder how good this could've been if the author was a bit less heavy handed and relied more on "show" rather than "tell".

2 months post Sangyang. This is the longest I've ever gone without Sangyang. Supplies are dwindling by the minute, along with my sanity. I can't hold on for much longer. To distract myself here's something I noticed. Lau's birthday is December 31st. The yearly Zhou family ritual takes place on New Years. If my current theory is correct, and Xin is being used as some sort of sacrifice for the ritual, this is very fucked up of the author. Like wdym you set up Lau's birthday the day before the love of his life gets sacrificed The author is absolutely a sadist 100%

In their world you either be molested or live long enough to become the molester. Wtf is this universe bro

This entire time I thought the cover was of Xin wearing a slightly fuzzy turtleneck... I didn't even realize Lau was there. Please tell me I'm not the only one who made this mistake. I don't want to feel like an idiot ╥﹏╥

Lowkey alien stage because half of the yaoi I read there's people saying they're like Ivantill in the comments section. Its fun at first but it begins to pmo after a while like quit reducing the mcs of another story to one doomed yaoi couple. Same thing with banana fish tbh.

I love this story, Llwellyn's whole flashback is beautiful and haunting. Though the page with the emoticon over his face made me chuckle a little through my tears. The moment where Shavonne realized he was essentially used and abused once again by that fuckass editor was devastating. But still, there's a part of me that wishes somethings made more sense. I don't really get the whole refugee thing, why do they just get mansions as restitution?? I think if we spent some more time in Llewellyn's POV while he was transitioning from prison dog to high profile killer (I forgot what they called him lol) this would've answered some questions about that. Still a great story, I just wished they fleshed out the world a little better.

1 month post Sangyang. This is the longest I've ever gone without Sangyang. I can't take this for much longer. How am I to survive without my light, my love, my one true sustenance? Literally shaking rn. It will be a long 3 months, the most harrowing 3 months of my life. But I must stay strong. We must stay strong men! Until the day Sangyang returns!

This is what happens next for anyone wondering btw:
Lian slaps Lau awake dramatically.
“Lau, wake up! We have a world to save!”
Lau blinks. “Huh? Weren’t you literally trying to kill Xin two seconds ago?”

Lian smirks. “Pfft. That was just a prank, bro. The tattoo’s not dangerous—it’s just... lead.”
“Wait, what?” Lau starts coughing. “That explains so much.”

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoes from behind.
“Lian would never betray us. Obviously.”

Lau spins around. “Wait… You’re alive?!”

Xin steps out from the shadows like Kermit palpatine.
“We were working together the whole time to take down the Head Family,” he says, dramatically flipping his hair even though there's no wind.
“I had to keep you in the dark to protect you, Lau. You were too precious… too pure.”

Lau gasps. “So… this was all a plan? To reunite the family? To free us from those crusty old council boomers?”

Xin nods, eyes sparkling with anime tears. “Yeah. Teehee.”
He stretches out his hand. “So let’s do this. One last job—for old times’ sake.”

“Lau, you go left. Wei, you go right. Lian… heh… you just keep being your chaotic little self.”

[cut to them dropping two atomic bombs on the Head Family tower while electric guitar solos play]

As the dust settles, Xin turns to Lau. “This… is for almost getting us killed!” [punches Lau in the stomach]
“And this… is for saving my life.” [reaches up and plants an unnecessarily romantic smooch]

Lau, blushing like an anime schoolgirl: “So… that’s it? We’re some kind of… Sangyang: The Wanderer?”
[cue sparkly music and slow zoom]

Before Xin can answer, Lian bursts through a wall cheering.
“WE DID IT! THE HEAD FAMILY’S DEAD! THIS WAS TRULY OUR… SANGYANG: THE WANDERER!!!”

She throws glitter in the air.
“Man, I feel a musical number coming on. Hit it, Wei!”

Wei, who’s been silently holding a guitar this whole time, shouts:
“LET’S DANCE!”

THE END (or is it? Stay tuned for Sangyang:the Wanderer 2: the Wandering & Sangyang:the Wanderer 3 The Wandering: Revelations)

The completed tattoo is the dragon with 3 heads surrounded by the 5 emblems of the collateral lines, except one of them is on fire, which is likely the 2nd collateral line which got extinguished centuries ago. It looks like the fire is also burning the dragon in the tattoo, and also part of the head family (which is symbolized with the oleander symbol in the middle of the tattoo). I guess that means that whoever wants the tattoo to be done thinks that the extinguishing of the 2nd collateral line centuries ago is what is causing the failure of the head family in the present. But is it the head family, the collateral lines, or xin AND the collateral lines who are saying this? So many mysteries still aghhh

Anything with an annoying pushy top: 19 Days. He was so fucking annoying and pushy I'm sorry. Its been a while since I read it but he was just pushing little mo all of the time without even listening to him. The author realized he tian and little mo are more popular than the main couple so they're giving this annoying ass ml more development than ......
