I started reading this back in 2018 and at first I seriously considered dropping it... BUT now the couple is making huge improvements so i'm really happy! But I still can't shake the feeling of how this really doesn't feel realistic... I mean, I know it's not supposed to, since it's just a fictional story, but there are so many partes of the plot that are just plain stupid!
The whole thing of extreme bullying, having the imposed social status and the teachers doing NOTHING about it... Or how the students just go along with it and don't tell anyone about the game... It's just so unrealistic. And if things weren't so unfair or extreme, I would be okay with it, but both Azusa and other characters have been through experiences that, in real life, would probably end up in suicide.
Now, i'm not saying that the story has follow the "real world" orders, but it has become so detached from what's reasonably credible, that I feel that I can't connect with the characters like i'm supposed to. Because I always end up angry and frustated thinking "But wtf is this?".
Okkkk sooo to all the people that read the whole thing, thank you and sorry about the ranting, but i really needed to get this off my chest! ( ̄∇ ̄")
In think it's a metaphor. And as such, brutally realistic (the violent part. The romantic one is not).
What's really sad is that you might be wrong. I actually know somebody who, without the creative part of the caste game, had an experience like this is school for over 10 years. Nobody, literally nobody did nothing to help.
No rape but stabbings, yes, torture, yes, and so on and on.
Nobody did nothing. He had to survive. Not only school: life. Because Azusa is a character. But real people after that kind of experiences are broken forever.
Nobody cares. Sad, uh.
