i don't know why but her character and the other fl who's like that irritates me lately.I really never complained about the characters of fl's rather i enjoyed it in the past.I guess i was influenced by the "the villainess turns the hourglass" by being independent and cool.I guess i prefer a bitch protagonist and a bitchier villain(fl) ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I would totally be on board with your opinion if the fl here and the fl in the villainess turns the hourglass was in the same position.
First of all Yeni was kidnapped, brough in a country where, she has no power while Aria is literally in her playing field cause she knows the future and she was already wicked in her first life.
Second, Yeni's enemy could literally kill her with magic while Aria has a younger kid as her enemy with no magic whatsiever.
Third, Yeni knowing the future in this story doesnt help her in anyway cause she doesnt have magic and just know that she must save the emperor while Aria can use the knowledge of her past life and having magic of the hourglass as a side power too.
Yeni is not in an equal playing field with the red hair lady while Aria is literally playing Mielle and her side enemies like a puppet.

I don't see how the MC in this story has anything to do with the villainess turns the hourglass MC. they not even similar in plot-wise so there is no point in even compare them.
they are different in any shape and form, and they should get a different chance and treatment. just don't compare stories that are super different and have nothing in common and enjoy the story for what it is. nothing more and nothing less.

But you are truly wrong of Aria and Yeni being the exact playing field. THEY ARE NOT HUGELY SIMILAR. THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
1st. Of Aria.
1. She died at the age of 25 because the evil plots of her sister Mielle already affected her. As she returned to the past, she already have the Hour glass which is a literal CHEAT CODE to Aria's accomplishments. because it does so much more than just bringing her back to the past.
2. As she returned to the past, she faces the repeated enemy, Mielle... And it is already their second encounter. And she became back to the 15 year old self.. So, she basically facing a younger opponent.
3. Knowing the future.. Plays a big importance because she knows mielle's schemes against her. She could use every inch of her knowing the future very well
4. The prince!! He is the unexpected factor of the story... He places a lot of twist and favor to aria more in the story..
Of Yeni
1. Transmigration... She did yes came back into past but IN THE PROLOGUE!!! The past, before the appearance of the main characters in story!! So, what she knew it in story does her a little to none of the advantage. And she is a normal woman just knew the story...
2. No cheat codes.. Unlike aria that has a hour glass.. Yeni does not have any magical device in her favor.
3. Her being immune to magic. Since her original character never stepped into the emperor's kingdom at such a young age. She can get sick easily due to magic and that is a huge factor since she cannot do too much because of her disadvantage
4. A super strong villianess.. Unlike Aria, that knows every nook and cranny of Mielle.. This girl knew a few details of the villianess and this villianess could instantly kill MC if she wishes to..
So, yeah.. In short.. You cannot compare the 2 stories because they are Hella different.. I also read the villianess turn the hourglass and I knew the flow of the story until the much more impact of duke's sister... Like the novel.. Just up to 104 chapter.. And I could slap you with more comparisons
I know that yeni and aria has a very HUGE GAP when it comes to their personalities and situations.And surely i am not comparing them.no.my point i guess is that the "villainess turns the hourglass" influenced me greatly by being cool and independent that it made me think that here character and other fl's like that irritates me.You could say that a bitchier villain who's the mc is my cup of tea ╮(￣▽￣)╭...And aria is much evil that u thought.cause i read the novel i guess?.(〜￣△￣)〜
again it's not a matter of being independent or not, to me both of them in their own way make their decision they want to make, no one is forcing them. so to me, in their own way, they are both independent. they just very different.
it's like you try to compare Luffy from OP to Naruto, they different okay. there is no need to say who is better, they both good in their own way and what they both bring to the table.
To be fair, even if Yeni wanted to be independent, she can’t. She literally has to hold on to father to survive so... The fluff it brings tho, so I’m not complaining (´∀｀)

In my stance. Your definition of being independent is equals to = being cool, badass and in control. You are not wrong on that but being independent woman depends on how a person handles its self...
YOu can be independent and not be like Aria.. YOu can be Zay from Villian's Savior. She is expressive that she cries easily and kinda a coward but she is trying to hold on to her own decisions.
As Aria seeks revenge.. She had to relay on herself. and her experience and maturity lead her into being in safe ground..
As for Yeni/Yeri, she is also independent but the restrictions on her is really hard since she cannot just roam around in a country filled with magic and she is bad with magic... So she really had to relay on the emperor..
And also our Yerinica is not a villianess at all.. she is expressive and kinda a klutz but she is the perfect partner for the ML who is secretive and much too aware of his surroundings..
as other comment already mentioned... why not love both?? but if you insist that she is useless...

The ribbon is what caused it to happen but it was jannettes real father who but black magic on it sabotaging athy Leading to the lose of claudes memory. And ya Lucas is going to be in the next chap from what I’ve heard
