The 6 year gap didn't bother me at first since Asha is 24 and Kiel is 30... Then I really thought about it and realized Kiel fell in love with Asha when he was only 4 years old and Kiel was 10, and when Asha was 14 Kiel was 20 and so on...
But as I keep reading... I don't feel it bothers me as much as it should??? Like of course it's strange, but somehow I'm not as repulsed with it as I was with other works with similar age gaps. Not sure why this story feels different for me, but for now it's pretty enjoyable lmao the uke is so stupid I love him
I honestly get the same conflicted feelings like you in the beginning. Then I remembered that this story was set in Medieval age, where societal norms was largely difference from that of today moral standards. Heck, the even the concept of grooming doesn't exist on this era, so I just said fuck it we ball and continue reading lmao.
Yuhhh plus they live in a historical western country so their legal age there is different...plus, they are kinda not illegal even if you compare it today bcs they were not in a relationship when they were young. Also every country before and today have different laws about legal age...some countries even allow marry children to the adults thats just how it works in their country.
Its also impossible to be considered this as grooming since the settings is, once again, a historical western era...so yea feel free to correct me if Im wrong. I aint a law student but Im just sharing the information I know or at least what I thought I know based on my memories (my memories tend to be wrong sometimes)
