Wait...what just happened?? Did Yurigel kill the dragon king...???
As mentioned in the prev chapter Yurirel wanted to kill the Magician. Since he failed to do so, he need someone who has equal amount of mana. Dragons are known to have strong amount of mana. So he bring the dragon prince to the magic circle to activate his dragon form. And since he's the king's lover they will think it as an attack, and will slay the dragon prince.
I started this not expecting much out of the gambling aspect; but they really go into the details about gambling, hands, and underground players. It was very refreshing to see an author put in setting effort (whether accurate or not). And the pacing is just right for whatever slowburn they got going on.
I picked this up for the artwork; and I love that the quality of the faces are drawn consistently well. The story is fairly interesting too.
I know Diabel is a total psycho asshat (being a demon and whatnot), and I feel bad for the MC because of the anime-cliche-betrayal. But at the same time, I think his character is interesting and feels kind of fresh, even if he is unlikeable thus far. Once in a while it's nice to not have to read the same old tyrant-asshole who falls in love with you because you've changed, or super whipped dog-type who have no personality of their own. Diabel kind of seems like he's suffering some kind of subplot.
