It seems like the way they "handle" Tsutsumi's inferiority complex is literally just Mibu magically knowing what words to say at every exact moment Tsutsumi is feeling inferior to cheer him up... Tsutsumi doesn't even have to express that he's feeling down or put his complex emotions into words, Mibu just somehow knows!

I'm not sure if it's "magically" Mibu probably had never said anything like that before bc Tsutsumi had never mentioned his insecurities, but the story overall portraits Mibu as a very dedicated boyfriend so now that he's aware of Tsutsumi's issues he probably puts in effort to reassure him. I also understand that this will not always work, but Tsutsumi's self-esteem issues are something he has to work through himself, the only thing Mibu can do is stay by his side and offer support
