The Kotofuji depicted here is not a god anymore. I'm not really sure about the flow of events (my japanese is not that good), but when Kotofuji tried to bend Tsuyugasu's fate, his shrine was burned (which equals Kotofuji dying). Due to loss of Kotofuji, Tsuyugasu made a scroll in remembrance of Kotofuji. This scroll now is the Kotofuji Mayuki likes and just a shadow of the god.

Am I the only one who hoping that the opening song of the anime (Kizuato by Centimillimental) be the one Mafuyu's gonna sing in the live performance?? I mean it fits perfectly for the failed love theme (⌒▽⌒)

That very thought crept up on me too. But thinking about it logically, it doesn't make sense to put the only song they produced as the opening song. It takes away the point of all Mafuyu's struggles to create the lyrics.
The first one's story is great (and with drama CD too!) I'm willing to translate as long as someone will do the cleaning and typesetting hhah (=・ω・=)
