Anyway, here's a cringe poem I wrote out of loneliness because I never experienced college romance.

*10 things I Hate About College Romance Stories*

I hate the way the characters meet so cute, like fate just waved them in.
And stirred a part inside of me I never knew could yearn.

I hate how FLs are clumsy, how MLs are all a mess.
I hate the way they flirt so soft, in casual tenderness.

I hate the way my campus life was all just Zoom and gloom.
No mixers, dates, or meet-cutes like them, just Wi-Fi in my room.

I hate the ache I feel inside, like something passed me by.
I hate how love looks soft in ink, but real life's kinda dry.

I hate the way my heart reacts to every dumb trope beat.
The shared umbrella under the rain, yeah, that cliché still hits.

I hate that college came and went without some grand romance.
Just coffee, group reports, and ghosts of missed-out chances.

I hate I never had that spark, that blush, that college kiss.
How I sit and stare, read, sigh, and ache on how much I missed.

But mostly I hate the way I don’t actually hate the genre
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Also, if you haven't realized yet, it's a parody of a poem in the film "10 things I hate about you (1999)". I wish I was there when it premiered, sadly, I wasn't born yet when it did!
