I forgot the name and its been on my mind for a long time. Its a woman who reincarnated as the protagonist's sister, she tried to cancel wedding plans to save her from tragic end of her marriage but end up being chosen herself as the man's bride.
I remember her trying to chase the man away and the sister thinks they are inlove

hey so ever since "My Guildmate Next Door" is on hiatus I've been trying to look for other slowburns like this one. ㅜㅜ any suggestions? anything really just with chemistry, great friendshi and strng romance (i know its hard to ask for but I will try anything ㅎ ㅗ ㅎ
Okay, so far from the plot, I have SO much to say about this mess—and for the readers too.
First: There’s absolutely no emotional bond or connection to the characters. I get that there’s a lot of mystery surrounding the people around her, which makes them untrustworthy. But still—she has no friends? Not even a single opportunity to build a relationship with someone who genuinely cared for her? Like the female priest she studied with for two years—what was that? Just a side character? She had so much personality!
Second: The bonds she does form are with people who hurt her. The ML is understandably vengeful, sure—but that still doesn’t give him the right to force himself on her. And the others? They enable the ML's actions. The (actual main/ pink hair) female character was right—he should’ve punished her in a more sensible way, like through the court or something. Yet she ends up closer to the ones who harmed her—the ML, her dad (who has abuse allegations), and even the knight who nearly killed her.
Third: The ML does have a right to be mad. That’s something most readers don’t get. He was drugged for three years, possibly an SA victim, and psychologically manipulated. Yes, I said earlier that he forces her, and that’s from her perspective— she’s not exactly his abuser. What’s wrong is how she CHOOSES to “befriend” them. From HIS point of view, his anger is valid. Both of them are victims of the old Ilyana. And although the whole thing with her parents and the kidnapping is still unresolved, we shouldn’t just dismiss HIS trauma.
Fourth: The misunderstandings in this manhwa? Insane. Like, supernatural-level bad. Trying to understand both of their perspectives is exhausting. The abuse, her desperate need to escape, and then all the romance stuff just mashed together into one giant, frustrating mess of miscommunication.
Lastly: The romance? Straight-up Stockholm Syndrome.
I've been thinking a lot how problematic her proportions are. That it has no sense of being 'realistic,' but this made me realize that she was made to look 'youthful' to get the point that what people negatively says about her age is wrong, our point of view is made to see her beautiful. Her body as well also puts up this point that Mincheol left someone who has it all and was far better than anyone he replaces her to.
Even though its also for smut reasons, and I do wish they made her look mature. I think this was the thing they were going for.
if i had a nickel everytime theres a character named Shoji that ruins a relationship I'd have two nickels which isnt a lot but its weird thay it happened twice
'"oh its about smoking! aha aha just like me aha aha...? teacher x student.. maybe I misread this wrong *coughs* oh..oh uh huh. ....OH TEACHER X STUDENT????!!"
does the most logical thing: doesnt contnue readng
I stopped reading at 80+ chapter and i have so much criticism on the plot (so far of what I read). The first season was phenomenal I loved everything about it, the action was active and the relationships between the characters was really good too. Then comes the second and third. It got messy, the contractual relationship was so unnecessary. Their relationship was already built at the first season. And somehow the Siri was not able to be honest, when her strongest character is being direct. Her character became someone that beats around the bush. Morris was worse, he started sabotaging a relationship just because he likes Siri, just so he can give off second make lead and more angst to his character. Its funny cause I don't even have complains to Vermuth because he was consistent to his character. But they gave so much useless scenes just to give a reason to sabotage the romance. Like that time Siri was cold and he had to take of his shirt to warm Siri EVEN though it was stated from the start she cannot feel the temperature around her because of the her core. Oh and the poison the emperor gave? Another useless reason because she can literally heal herself and Arkana is literally there omg. Its like the core has been forgotten here, this what made the manwha interesting too, its just disapointing that the story is focused on the romance, emough that they want to make excuses just to give it conflict. There's just this holes that are not helping, this contractual relationship is really making my head hurt.
Overall, still good because of the relationships being consistent on this one, which I love ESPECIALLY the female friendship. They ruined our boy Morris though !!
