Sorry for being boring and nihilist but I still care about consent. I'm disappointed, it always annoys me when characters do this and how there is so much encouragement for this, it's not just fiction thing. I started reading BL as an adult and read a lot of trash, traumatizing even but looking back I was in a dark place. nowadays I read some shit but I don't gloss over it.
If you've been sexually assaulted, it's very triggering. and even if you're not, certainly someone close to you has been. Yes, it is a subject that should be addressed in stories but should not be used as excuse to begin a relationship under any circumstances. and being kissed while sleeping is the essence of assault, not being aware or conscious, no consent.
