Chiwoo could've cut him off or done whatever, Chiwoo could've hated his guts, that's his right, no matter what Chiwoo did or his feelings it doesn't give ANYONE the right to touch you without your permission. Whether Jihyun killed someone or not, he's still a criminal, harassment, assault, stalking, and sexual assault (all of which he's done to Chiwoo) are crimes.

Because her not telling Ceaser does still places him in risk and as we saw she does love... plus the whole trust thing which she would have lost with him and the guilt that she probably felt.

Note that not telling him only directly benefits her in this case, as it would keep her in the good graces of the empress, but nothing implies that it would be best for Cesar.

What Canaria did was a very basic thing for humans. She protected someone she loves even if it came with a cost.

Yupe, she should. It's very political decision. We can never know because the author can do whatever he want, but if I were Cesar I would understand and agree if she didnt tell. By telling him: 1) we never know who could listening 2) He could make a poor action when drinking and they could know he is faking. So the point of drinking the poison would be meanless.
Well thats just me thinking. I would make the heroine much more smart (especially cause she is way older). She is very weak in the castle (political speaking), if she gain one more enemy that would only put her in a more fragile situation. (Cause the emperor dont like her etc).

I disagree with you. The mc did the right choice by telling him the truth. And you said that if you were to be put in Cesar shoes well, you would understand why she didnt tell him beforehand ? Oh please, its easier than done honey. Trust me you wouldnt be saying this if it really did happen to you. Cesar would have felt really betrayed if Canaria really did like you suggest. Plus if you really love someone, you wouldnt even dare risk putting the person you love in danger tho you know its not really fatal. What Canaria did just shows how sincere her love is for Cesar and it also shows how humane she can be. It would be boring and sad for me to read if the author really decided to potray Canaria as someone who is selfish and cowardly just cuz she was afraid of the empress finding out that she switches side because love comes with selflessness. For me, the author did a really great job in potraying Canaria to the reader as someone who is selfless.

Lol, I give up. It's very clear for me, so it's kind of frustrating to explain over and over. It's not "afraid and coward" act, but tactical and planned. The story changed so you never know what the enemy is ploting and even when you do, you can always gain to know your enemy moves. Well, you can say it was the MORAL right decision. I find it very hard to believe that Ceasr wouldn't have been deeply hurt by her actions.
We clearly saw how much he cares for her and the trust he feels he has with her.

It's kinda funny that you think putting someone at risk without giving them a choice is "tactical and planned". If Ceasr would have agreed to do it then it's an entirely different matter, but lying for your own gain...
From a practical point of view, Canaria's actions just further enhanced the trust Ceasr (the future emperor) has in her and in the grand scheme of things it would be better for her, as the emperor is the one with the actual power.
It should be noted that the empress is going to become her enemy in one point no matter what, so it would be better to solidify her position with party she sided with. Like it or not having the trust of the people who follow her husband is as important as other allies as it means she has better support structure to work with.
