this chapter gave me some clarity about their relationship and their feelings towards each other. to me, kang mincheol still loves na haesoo, it's just that he loves the image of their youth. to him, na haesoo that has become āemotionless, old and no longer happyā isn't his wife, he loves that image of her that radiates hope.
i wanna bring the chapter (i don't really remember which one it was) but where ari asks him about if he wants to have kids, and he agrees but his perfect image of that is in a a nice apartment with na haesoo, not in their shitty rundown apartment. he still lives with that hope that they will get out of this poverty, furthermore, he was unhappy with the way Ari spent money, comparing her ways to na haesoo + he becomes really happy when na haesoo brought something new in the house, his heart feeling content when he saw the teddy(which from his pov was brought because she missed him)
to me it just feels like he can't cope with the fact he's lost it all. he doesn't view his cheating as yk cheating because in his mind na haesoo is the one he's returning to at the end of the day. although I'm still not too sure about this... i hope we get a chapter with his pov in the future.
i wonder what changed in their relationship that caused such a drastic change in him
oh wow i completely forgot about the miscarriage thing I guess that's how your own environment changes you, i feel like mincheol is more of a product of debt and poverty and falling relationship than it being his āoriginalā personality (if that makes any sense)
I'm also curious of what got him into debt
he's so yum
